On this page: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49841324 Makes you realise (at least it did me) how much going to Oakwell means, seeing the ground from up on Donny Rd by the Dove, walking down Oakwell Lane, getting into the ground (all the time the anticipation growing), watching our team, being with you lot etc. etc. No idea how I'd fill the time if I didn't do it but I know I'd miss it enormously and I feel for the Bury fans who must be grieving right now.
May I just ask why there is our flag outside their stadium? Do our teams have a history? I imagine fans of all teams are showing respect, I just notice us right away. EDIT: Yes, continued watching and it seems fans from all over have left things. Kudos to whoever the Barnsley fan was
Very sad state of affairs. One thing looks certain, with passionate fans like that, the Club will probably apply to join the the non league pyramid in time for next season. It would be good if one day, they were able to regain their EFL status.
It's really emotional. It's not just the club you support, it's your childhood , your upbringing, your memories, your Saturday. The void must be devastating. My heart goes out to them .
