Collins Cavare Diaby (if fit) Andersen Ben Williams Brown Mowatt Sibbick Thomas Schmidt Woodrow Let's go 4-4-2, reign in the full backs so they aren't pushing up quite as much leaving huge space in behind and generally try and keep it tighter at the back (easier said than done!). Wilks and Chaplin haven't impressed me at all so far so time to give Schmidt a go from the off?
TBH Wilks didn't do too bad when he came on yesterday but in the other matches I have seen him he's been poor.
I'd give 3-5-2 a go. Not sure of player availability with injuries etc. .......................Collins ...........Sibbick Diaby Pinillos Brown McGeehan Dougall B.Williams .......................Mowatt ..............Woodrow Wilks Strong(er) bench Walton Anderson Styles Cavare Thomas Thiam Chaplin
I will leave it up to stendle, but can anybody tell me what sibbick brings to the team.Im not saying he does much wrong because he doesn't seem to do anything at all.Hope he proves me wrong.
Player of the season so far for me. Played approx just two dozen games as a 19 year old for a struggling league one side. Turns twenty, jumps a league and plays in three different positions in his first half a dozen games. One of the best of a bad bunch again yesterday and been MOTM for me a few times already. Strong player and versatile in where you can play him. Only going to get better.
Think yesterday aside (where everyone bar Woodrow and Mowatt played poor) Sibbick has been great in defensive midfield, also can pick out one or two forward passes that gets the team further up the field.
I think i'd go 4-5-1. I can't see us going 3-5-2 as we've so many wingers at the club to then use our fullbacks in that way. Sadly, I don't think it matters what personnel we deploy, the result is likely to be a defeat by 2 goals, maybe more. I can see us getting a real hiding soon and it getting really ugly.
Is it time for Stendel to change tack a little.Last season we were far too good for the majority of teams and our strength and pressing blew a lot of teams away.We also showed our other side where we remained solid and hit teams on the break.Maybe its time for plan B to try and get a few points on board.
Collins (GK) B.Williams (LB) Andersen (CB) Diaby (CB) Cavare (RB) Wilks (LM) Mowatt (CM) McGeehan - if available (CM) Brown (RM) Woodrow (ST) Schmidt (ST) SUBS Walton Halme Pinillos Thomas Dougall (if available) Chaplin Simoes I'd drop Thiam, to me he's a waste of space, stop this 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1 malarkey, get on with 4-4-2, give Schmidt a start like he deserves and give that Simeos a drop onto bench and see if he can do anything if he gets brought on.
From what i've witnessed so far in Daniels tenure here i get the feeling he'd rather going down still with his Plan A in place than sacrificing his and his teams philosophy and ideals.
Collins Cavare Diaby Halme B. Williams Sibbick Dougall Mowatt Brown Woodrow Chaplin I think that side would be a lot harder to beat. I’ve not been very impressed with what I’ve seen from either Thomas or Wilks up to now & Thiam also doesn’t deserve a start. Obviously Chaplin missed a decent chance yesterday but I thought he was pretty decent other than that. Anderson misses out as I thought he was poor yesterday & Diaby & Halme have been better this season up to now. I wouldn’t start McGeehan either as he doesn’t keep the ball enough. I’d prefer Sibbick & Dougall in there to give Mowatt a bit of a license to create without having to constantly cover for full backs. Cavare over J. Williams but neither covered themselves in glory yesterday. Bench - Walton Anderson Odour McGeehan Wilks Thomas Schmidt
Williams, shouldn't be in the side couldn't put a pass together niether should Sibbick no football brain, not strong enough.
Is Mike Bahre injured? If not he'd get in the team ahead of both Thomas and Schmidt for me. I'd play Pinillos at left back and maybe Dougall is fit to play in midfield?
I think Chris Martin will get the first 3 before HT but even in our current state I can't see them getting eleven.
