2k smashed in under 7 hours. New target set at £3k. It will all help. If we all give a little it will make a big difference.
Also good to see fans from Derby, Norwich, Wednesday in there. Things like this show how united football can be
In the RN myself. Absolutely awful situation but delighted to donate for one of our own and a fellow serviceman. Deepest sympathies to the family.
It’s brilliant and humbling to see the club come together after such devastating events last night. Proud of the players and everyone who’s donated, maybe the club could donate something on behalf of us all, doesn’t have to be financial in the memory of Jeff. Maybe name the fan zone after him could be an idea? R.I.P mate. Our town, our club.
Wonderful how this has worked so well but one thing we might avoid.... naming people on here who have donated. It's not necessary. It is surely embarrassing, isn't it, for the named ones. If we continue like this it'll become more a case of who hasn't donated and been named. And I could name several "on high" who aren't on the list. You get my drift?
No. It all about solidarity. This is such a positive thing, Don't draw negative conclusions from it, when they are not there. I'm all about "balance" & I don't think your post is meant in a bad way, but just badly worded. We don't know who donated anonymously. The point is about love & support. People have donated from their heart & that is all that matters.
What an unnecessary post. Hats off to all who’ve chosen to donate. I hope this helps the family of Jeffrey at what must be a shocking time.
Just short of £3000 now. Thank you to everyone who's contributed so far. Got to admit I've got tears in my eyes reading the messages. It really is only a game. Everyone 's doing tarn and Jeff proud Edit Now smashed the 3000 mark
I and probably other older members of our beloved club don't have online banking or other methods of donating, does the club shop have a collection bin. more than happy to nip in and stick a donation in for a fellow red , was in East upper towards the Ponty so could see events unfold, deepest sympathy to his family and friends. RIP Jeff......Forever Red
You don’t need online banking Skinner, you can just pay by debit card. I’d be surprised if many didn’t have that option.
I’ve noticed Beth and Whitey from the club on there now, at least I’m assuming it’s them, the club painter Ben Mosley also. Some incredible donations and whilst this is clearly a shocking time for Jeff’s loved ones, I hope this gesture helps in the tiniest manner.
3300 already is fantastic and many have probably gave more than the players have if going on percentage of weekly income donated. A great job by everyone.
