Conclusion IMO barring an absolute miracle. There is a very real danger that we will be relegated as the worst championship side in history as well. I just can't see at present how we are going to win another game at this level. It could get even worse with Swansea and West Brom up next.
Extremely worrying mate. I actually dread Saturdays now, and I've not felt like that for a long time.
I loved last season mate, my 6 year old was so excited and this season I've got him a ST but he ain't bothered and I'm starting to feel that way too. He asked me the other week why we're so rubbish. I can't believe we've gone from the euphoria of last season to this, it's a shambles.
I must admit, when i posted the 'done' thread the other day, i thought that we could be on the start of a real downward trend, where L1 mid table mediocracy starts to set in as we find it difficult to attract better players, the bigger transfer fees for existing players dries up, the fans drift away etc
I disagree with that. I think we will be relegated, however I think our attacking game against inferior players would be enough to be very competitive in the division below.
Barnsley manager Daniel Stendel: "We played like a youth team in a lot of situations. "At half-time I thought ok it was not our best half but at 1-1 with one chance is good but the second-half was the worst that I can remember at Barnsley. "Preston played good and you can see the table but we played like a team that is not good enough to play in the Championship."
We would do ok in the L1 f we kept Woodrow you would get 25-30 goals from him. Without him we would struggle.
We played like a youth team because largely we are a youth team! Every chance of a record lowest points total. Embarrassing and potentially very damaging in the long run....
It's not forgone, come on. We'll get nothing from West Brom, Swansea just beaten by Stoke. I seem to remember that not long back we were bottom at Christmas but made the play-offs. We only have to finish 4th bottom.
