Stendel seems immune from any negativity. Not disputing that it’s not a good situation with the player turnover, but surely he takes some stick?
You dont speak for me I very much want him to stay. He' s a good coach and his stock will.be high due to this.
If next summer Jurgen klopp has Salah sold his two center backs and his keeper leaves and the replacements are all from the championship and lower under 25 and have never played in the premiership I wouldn't put much blame on klopp unless his tactics or selection were questionable the only thing I find odd with stendel is why he picks bahre as captain or even in the 11
There’s not really much of a comparison to be had from that. They’re players that have performed at that level. The players we sold were all considered not to be ready for the Championship the last time we played at this level, now we’re making out like they were seasoned Championship pros.
Pinnock was never given a chance last time we were in the championship. Davies had a poor season but changing the back 4 every week did him no favours. Lindsay was our best center back and many on here thought championship teams would come for him Moore only signed in january and provided some decent assists and goals Footballs a team game collectively this back four aren't good enough and we are reliant on woodrow for goals
Sell your best players replace them with gambles who haven't played at that level before (some have hardly played at league one) then it's going to be a tough ask for anyone. The owners took a gamble for profit it hasn't paid off.
I’m not disputing that - I actually agree, but Stendel knows what the situation is at the club. It’s a plan we’ve had in place before he joined, so it can’t come as a surprise to him. Granted, it’s a tough ask to get this team to perform at this level, but at least try something new. We’ve played the same sh*t every week and it hasn’t worked since the first game. He deserves time to turn it around but statements saying he should walk away are daft.
And who exactly is gonna come in and start winning with a team of lower league players in the championship. No experience and no leaders in the squad. DS asked for more than what's been given to him. He wanted experience, to keep his defense together and I can only assume some options up front. How is the idiotic decisions of the board our manager, no head coach's fault? We had a team that was good enough to come second in league 1.not even win it. Luton yes Luton won it. And the board decided to sell our biggest assets. Now that's DSs fault? Unless memory fails me he wanted to keep potts, Davies, Lindsay, pinnock moore and even hamill. The board chose to sell and replace with lower league kids and now that is the head coach that's to blame? Not for me. The board have ripped the heart out of this club. The board alone. We sold so many season tickets, such a great feeling going into this season. The board alone killed that for me.
We were doing well under Keith Hill until Jan 2012, Barnsley fans mostly blame him for what happened next, which is interesting.
I don't speak for You? So you want him to have a short and ***** career? Odd. Read the post again...
If we finish the next 3/4 of the season stronger, with players markedly improved his stock will be higher. He resigns and to me that makes him a quitter which I don't think he is.
He's not a quitter and resigning, in my eyes, wouldn't make him one either. He's been **** on big time, the results and signings show that. He will not be happy whatsoever.
You still think these owners are the 2nd coming? Like him off tykes talk says the owners take the profits stendel and the players take the blame. Woodrow and mowatt will be gone in january or summer latest
