    Simple question.

The majority have made clear this weekend the issues and errors made by the club. Many aspersions cast, lots of conjecture, but a very clear and common opinion seems to have formed.

So what’s the answer? How should the club move forward?

In the short term the club can't do anything, they aren't going to bring in any free agents so we have to accept that we go with what we've got until January.

IMO our position in the league table come the 1st January will dictate how the transfer circumstances play out that month and how the club moves forward for the remainder of the season. If we are at the bottom and within within touching distance of say the bottom four/five then Conway and Co may push the boat out a little a try to help us beat the drop. I would hope if they do sanction any incoming transfers in January that they learn from the major **** ups made over the summer and bring in some experience.

However, if we are cut adrift and looking very likely for an immediate return to L1 then they may not want to sanction any signings. The other issue is that January tends to see inflated transfer fees due to struggling clubs panic buying, if we do look at players then we could very easily be priced out of the market. In addition, would any players want to sign for us if we are all but relegated?

There are plenty of decent players available on free transfers. Yes they won't be match fit, but they won't have spent their down time gorging on chip butties either. Look at the difference Danny Simpson has already made to Huddersfield as a freebie that hadn't played in ages.

Sign Paul McShane and Joe Ledley to give us a chance before we’re cut adrift

A good question, mate. Unfortunately, I haven't the foggiest idea. Others seem to have and they may well be right. But I honestly don't know what the club could, or should, do.

Too late this season sadly. They should’ve held out for decent championship fees for those they have failed to replace adequately with them still all being under contract as per the ‘plan’ instead of just taking the first average championship fee that came along as the goals against and for column highlights.
Let’s hope if they (the owners) hang about long enough that they will never make that mistake again.

I think they will already be looking to offload the club. They didn't hang around long at Nice once they had been 'found out' by the fans.

Change to a back 5 or at least make one full back remain with the Centre backs when we have the ball in the oppositions half, sit deeper. All the goals I see are us chasing back with our defenders facing the goal and the full backs up the pitch - stop doing that would be a start.

    Hire a defensive coach.
    Dispense with zonal marking.
Tell the wingers to get forward and the fullbacks not to commit themselves.
Get the back four watching Arsenal videos (or The Full Monty) until they learn to hold a straight defensive line.
Ditch the idea that we can press our way to success.
Consider changing the formation into one that makes us difficult to break down. 541 maybe.
Explain to Stendel what "Gung Ho" means and why it should be avoided.

They should pour Coca-Cola down the back of it and claim it on the insurance.

This. I don't think they've been dishonest or anything. I just don't think they realised exactly how difficult it would be. They're not going to get returns on their investment. So, like most discerning business people, they will cut their losses before it gets any worse. I'd say they will be gone in the next 12 months.

As for what the club should do, I'd say get rid of the spreadsheet and recruit from British leagues.

You may not be too far out with this. Perhaps they've completed underestimated the championship and what it going's to take even just to get us established. They are clearly unwilling to put any of their own money into the club.

Also disappointed on the commercial side as I don't believe we have seen any significant changes / improvement since they took over.

I concur, all on short term contracts. And if we can't afford Ledley then consider Jedinak. I actually think his legs are going but he'd still help the kids just by being on the pitch. And I would've added Wilfried Bony too but notice it's being reported today that Bristol City may be about to take him.
I also agree with JackTatty though that they won't.
