When I and a few others expressed clear concern at the way the club was moving through the course of the summer I was told everything from ‘your problem with the ownership is racism’ to that I was asking for so much investment that we’d be the next Bolton to being told to go support Man City.
A bit baffled how it’s taken so long for the penny to drop as Stendel was quite public with his requests for experience yet I was called paranoid.
Where do we go from here?
Quite clear as others have said they aren’t going to get anyone good in as that will cost money. I believe they will try the same trick they did with Morais- get a poor manager in to take the flack for the relegation then replace him with someone cheap with potential to develop the squad again.
Absolutely fed up right now and I can’t see what they ownership can do to reconnect with the fan base. From the look of it I’m not sure they want to.

Ps how are we in a situation where Skybet show our manager more respect and more class than the club...!

I just trawled back to early August. I knew there was a post where i'd stated the coach was asking for experience. For some reason, a couple of people not only denied he'd asked for that, but firstly called me a liar (despite the interviews being constant through pre season) and then a "drama llama" after I suggested he looked down and it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't here much longer and we'd invariably be worse off.

There will always be people who support "the club" and its owners irrespective of what they do. I'm just glad I'm not one of those people and I'm content to praise when it merits and show dissatisfaction when it merits.

I reckon that now is just the exact best time to score points. Well done.

I mean, I admit I did have to resist the urge to go back to specific posts as the dogs abuse and sometimes slanderous accusations (particularly that my dismay was rooted in racism) I got were absolutely unacceptable and I make no bones about bringing them back up.
However, the main thrust of my post was now that most are on the same page where do we go from here? What do we think the ownership’s next move be and how can we as a fan base be proactive and prevent this happening again. I am particularly concerned about the scenario outlined at the end of my post ie a scapegoat manager til the end of the season and we are in this position in 2 years time all over again.

The club got the signings wrong by 3 people for me. 1 loan of a player way out of our reach to permanently sign and 2 more experienced players with the personal qualities to man up in this league. The main problem with the original set of purchases started by Danny Wilson I.e buying other people’s captains (scowen, yiadom, Mawson, hourihane, Roberts, Davies, winnall vice) is that it didn’t take long for everyone else to do it as well but throwing higher wages at them thus leaving out of the race. Bolton took beevers for instance when they couldn’t afford him, copy Birmingham with Roberts.
This should have been a telltale of what was to come with pinnock turning the best money we’ve ever offered and the club captaincy down for Brentford. I asked on here who people thought we should buy as a slightly older head within our kind of wage structure and the silence was deafening. You see it’s ok to stamp your feet and groan that we didn’t get the experience in but if the players are simply unattainable then it’s just noise.
Once the transfer window closed the only option was to either sign experienced ***** that no one else wanted or to knuckle down and show some nuts which I believe the players have tried their upmost to do.
A simple mistake by McGeehan v Birmingham cost us at least a point, an unwillingness to find row z from the defence has cost us potentially another 5 points by my reckoning that really aren’t down to experience.
So here we are, either cave in and whine ourselves to January or move on and make the best of what’s available. If people want to criticise or praise it is entirely down to them, you either pay your money or don’t, we’ve been in bigger holes.

It is possible to understand why the transfer window went how it did, and not want the manager to leave at the same time.
