Read Deputy Dawg's post. It's not really about whether the image is fake or not. It's that the situation is fake. It wasn't what it was sold to us as. It's either photoshopped or a tourist photo like on the log flume. As someone who has used photoshop since 93, I think they are fake. But then there are claims that it was filmed in situ. I can't counter claim that. And maybe both are true as I struggle to rationale the practicalities of photographing an image on a billboard that is there for seconds. So maybe they're mock-ups. The point was it was sold to us as a wow and it's anything but.
Is the page of our image not just showing the transition of taking the image, creating the cut out for windows then showing it in situ? There’s ones for other companies and events too Do we know if any of our directors have influence at this company?
What the heck are you on about? It was never more than a bit of fun. Sold as a wow - guess that’s supposed to be yank talk but means nothing to me. What did you think it was? Lutu Media arrange to put messages on that Nasdaq screen -a quick google showed me that. Even individuals have paid to have their own face on it as a laugh. It wasn't argued as a bit of fun at the time, it was us selling ourselves to the world, a great marketing campaign from our billionaire owners, you're changing history. It was them using their influence to project Barnsley FC to an international market. And it was nonsense.
I don't think they have influence in the company. I think we were allowed to believe it was an international marketing campaign when it was nothing of the sort.

Was clearly a PR attempt to excite punters but we haven't seen anything more substantial since.

You thought it somehow proved that the image was a lie when it clearly wasn’t. You’ve switched to say It was hyped up when it first appeared but what do we expect with Americans involved?

It's not cruel when you've just lectured me and continue to do so. And it certainly wasn't abusive. I think it's a pertinent point, particularly when you look back at the link Titus has given. I maintain they are photoshopped, but if NY Tykes have vidieod it then I'm wrong. But I wasn't doing what you have accused me of doing, I was trying to highlight that our owners haven't been doing what they claimed they were doing, and I think that's important, I'm sorry you don't and feel the need to be aggressive to someone who only wants to highlight that.
