Siewaarts sacking. Huddersfield Town has this evening terminated the contract of Head Coach Jan Siewert with immediate effect.
You've nailed it, RH. You could say that with one win from nineteen games (5.3% win percentage) then no further explanation of Siewert's dismissal was necessary (although I would still have thanked him for his efforts). Daniel, on the other hand achieved 31 wins from 66 games (47%) despite what the Board did to his squad this Summer!
If I was the board now, I'd be rubbing my hands with glee at the apologists doing their job for them. Just 3 days and inertia creeps.
I'm not being an apologist I was just observing something. I'd never come across such a terse statement before.
Sorry, the inertia comment wasn't aimed at you, just a general perception from comments from several quarters the latter part of yesterday, or lack of comment about certain things.
What about these comments? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Huddersfield's poor form has continued into this season and they have taken just one point from their first three Championship matches. Town released a statement just over an hour after the Fulham game to confirm Siewert's departure with immediate effect. Chairman Phil Hodgkinson said: "The decision was not one that I, nor the board, took lightly, but I believe it is one that had to be made. "Jan is a fantastic man and he's worked tirelessly for this club during his time here, but unfortunately it has not worked." First-team coach Mark Hudson will take charge of the team while a successor is found.
