Doesn’t really answer any questions like a politician. Feel like those answers were sent from con way on the beach in Miami
Feel totally disinterested. I'd never heard of Murray until last week. He may as well be the groundsman at kinsley boys . The whole thing stinks to high heaven. Just shows what people will put up with for a wage.
I think he speaks really well tbf to him. There's going to be a lot of idiotic unwarranted animosity towards him simply because of who he follows. Let's give the guy a chance. He's just a young coach trying to make his way up. What was he supposed to do, turn the caretaker post down? Most importantly, the players rate him and his training and are backing him 100%.
I don't know who he is, never mind who he follows. But if he is a Leeds or Wednesday fan he can go and get bent.
I agree - Whilst I understand people's anger, I do hope all those who say "they've lost interest" and "he's just a yes man" will be true to their word and stop commenting on both him and the club then.
It's on iFollow now, Nudge. Should be on the Radio Sheffield site within a couple of hours if you're not a subscriber though. Check here in a bit: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p003wb32/clips
Wait, you’re saying if you consider him a yes man you must stop supporting the club? Get a grip. Every supporter is more important than this guy or the current board.
There's no evidence he's any more of a "yes" man then anyone else in a head coach/managers position, so how about he cut that out for now?
Just finished watching it. I very much wish I hadn't to be honest. Believe! The most important thing on Saturday are the players. Cliches, party lines and insinuated blame. 23 minutes of perpetuated burgeoning anger. It was either pure naivety, self importance or highly stage managed control of topic. I'd very much have liked to have seen the pre press conference framing by club spokes person. The journalists seemed to be keeping their powder dry. Hopefully saving it for if they ever get the chance to speak with one of our owners again. very bad times.
I’m really confused where you think the ‘yes man’ thing aimed at him specifically is to be honest- not really seen that anywhere. I’ve noticed people saying the owners will be looking for one which I can’t disagree with. However, your original post seems to suggest, seemingly in response to the OP which was just some press interviews that anyone who questions the ownership shouldn’t comment? Am I missing something? Who are you saying should cut it out?
Isn't it the weirdest thing out that Stern and Tonge are still there, yet here is the U-18's coach parachuted in above them, with Disco and Sir Bobby overlooked into the bargain? Even on the photo (I'm not signed up to iPlayer) Mowatt doesn't look very happy. Can this inexperienced man with a 30% win rate as a manager get this team motivated to somehow overcome their inexperience at Championship level to beat a team who have made the start Swansea have? I can't see it myself, and I bet Woodrow, McGeehan and Mowatt can't wait for January! Swansea are still freely available at 10/11 for this one, which underrates their chances, for my money.
he was posed the question about experience (lack of), he pauses momentarily (he certainly said a lot of words... essence of Flitcroft at times, essence of Morais and essence of Little Lee)… and starts to say how its important to focus on what these players are. how amazing they are, how some will go onto have amazing careers... blah blah blah. Then the aspect of belief. Mowatt was certainly a little guarded but did say he was shocked/surprised and that he'd spoken with him, he learned a lot from him even this season and lots of the players did but took full responsibility as players. very different to Murray who I felt tried to shift blame (probably on instruction) to Daniel. My feeling from "Muzz" (god awful nickname aside) is that he just shouldn't have been in that chair. Its not his fault, but I'm going to stick my neck out now and say that with how easily he toed the party line and how much gloss he tried to put on a really dire situation, he's our next head coach til seasons end as long as he doesn't get absolutely mullered every week. I'm not going to lie. Theres some part of me that wants the next two results to be record defeats. The rest of me, actually.... doesn't care one bit what happens. And that's what I find most disappointing. That Conway et al and their awful handling of this situation have just created a mix of anger and apathy. I will forever have contempt for them for doing that.
Everything is weird at the moment. Utterly weird. There's some ridiculous rumours flying around but the Board are doing absolutely nothing to reassure fans. They are seriously endangering the momentum built up last season, promotion, strong season ticket sales. It's all gone in a wall of silence an a response of anger and growing apathy from supporters. I'm struggling to care at the moment. Our owners certainly don't seem to.
