I personally think we could turn them over Saturday, there seems to be a bit of spirit and determination in Murray to do well. Was reading through this: https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2019/october/adam-murray-interview/

Doug O'Kane posted this on twitter too which to me made me think maybe we could just turn them over:

Adam Murray has had the Barnsley squad doing 2 training sessions a day. He said: ‘It’s something I felt we needed. We have got some half decent physical work into the lads and some structural work as well. It’s been a long nine days.”

Maybe we could see some interesting changes in the 1st team? Schmidt starting, Simoes on the bench etc.

My advice is to not get your hopes up too much til we see the results.

I'm saying this now that I'm being very hopeful and all this could change come 5pm Saturday...

Well if he just scraps the zonal marking from corners it'll be a start..

Swansea are unbeaten away, unbeaten (in normal time at least) against us since I started watching us in the late 90s, and have a much better team and manager.

However, with a new manager ourselves you never know what might happen. We might shut up shop and nick a goal. We also might get battered 4 or 5 nil. Who knows.

I don't think the training is the problem more the decision making on the pitch. And that hopefully will improve with time and experience.

Been saying that all season, zonal marking never works for us.

Schmidt is carrying a knock from international duty and therefore doubtful.

I'd take 4 or 5 as a battering right now!

    Completely agree.

Decision making was by far our worst area last season. We got into some fantastic positions at times and just didn't make the right decision. We've now got an even younger squad who haven't played together much at all and its only natural it will take time to understand eacj others games, how they like the ball, natural preference of movement etc

One of the few impressive things Little Lee did was to work intensively with Hourihane. everyone could see Hourihane had talent, but the midfield was often overrun. I recall that various training sessions, Johnson stood alongside Hourihane and was going through at walking pave what he was thinking what he was looking for, what his first actions should be, what he wanted from others, how he got others to do what he needed them to do.

I'm not saying Johnson got it all right, but at some point a penny dropped with him and he went from a green naïve midfielder with potential, to a midfielder with an excellent all round game, unbelieveable dead ball ability and a hammer of a left foot. So much so he's now rightly an established international footballer playing in the Premier league and making contribution.

We're at the stage where many of our players have played just a handful of games. It took Hourihane 60-80 games to start to look the part for us. It shouldn't be a surprise that our young players need time.

Sad to say, I think we'll get pumped 3 or 4 nil.

Yet our defensive record last season wasn’t too shabby. System or personnel?

When did we last best Swansea on the league? I can't remember us doing so since I started supporting us, but then I do have a terrible memory.

Obviously better opponents. But would the system of defending this season have been better if we’d either kept last season’s personnel or bought better?

Personally don't see how extra training will help much. We have possibly the fittest team I have ever seen.

We will be well beaten, and if we reach 30 points I will be surprised. We are totally inept at playing in this division with kids, and the directors should be totally ashamed of their treatment of Stendal, and their policy of expecting youngsters of surviving in this league.
