So what would your report card on the owners say for their first nearly two years of ownership read? You say the club stagnated for 15 years but what do you see as the fundamental changes made by the the new owners to drive the club forward? I'm not looking to argue or point score, just to understand where your optimism stems from.
I could buy a few players for £500k if I sold the best defence in the league and a prolific goalscorer for millions upon millions. Saying how amazing that is is like saying you're obviously getting richer because you've just bought a 4 bed detached property but failing to mention that to do so you sold a 7 bed mansion.
....... ‘They flog em all’ !!!!!! They’ve only just bought the foookers !!! What the hell are tha talking abart ???
Do you ever listen to reports ?????? Davies and Lindsay wanted much more money - hence going to parachute payment Stoke. Pinnock wanted to move back near his family. Not sure about Kieffer - in my view this was the biggest loss to the team. The owners will have learnt from last season. ........ all players now on 4 year deals. That’s amazing in itself - and something that hasn’t been seen at the club (ever?).
I wanted virgin but sadly I was locked into a contract that I had willingly entered with sky so they told me to Fc.uk off when I asked to end that contract.
I just can’t understand this. Hecky gets a team of CHEAP players to within ONE point of a play off place to the Premeir. He has this team sold from under him in JANUARY. With no replacements brought in. Stendel has 4 players sold in the close season - and TWELVE new players brought in. According to this BBS. Hecky is shi.te. Stendel is a hero. WTF are some people taking on this BBS !?!?!
I sold my 6 months old luxury three piece suite last week and replaced it with twelve plastic patio chairs. Can't work out why everyone says it looks **** and feels **** personally.
Weren't the suite up for renewal anyway??? And weren’t the 12 plastic chairs more expensive than the suite ??? And didn’t you get a 4 year guarantee with the 12 chairs ??? Give it time - you will get more wear from the 12 chairs.
so every other club in the Football League plays an U13 team or is bankrupt. Would you say that say Luton or Portsmouth or Liverpool or Man City or Forest Green Rovers fit into one of those only 2 available options?
No actually, the footrest was up for renewal but the rest werent. I did get a four year guarantee but it's still a guarantee for a plastic piece of crap. And no they weren't more expensive. But neither were the 12 children signed for undisclosed fees by our owners, in a rare act of speaking they even admitted that not all the money received has been reinvested.
I'm really struggling at the moment to raise any enthusiasm or feel any excitement. My Dad took me to my first match 52 years ago and being a Red is part of my identity. In an earlier post Marlon asks the question "what other options are there?" but for the first time I am thinking I might want to spend my time elsewhere. The key issue for me remains the lack of communication, the seeming disregard for the fans. Nevertheless I have decided to go on Saturday and desperately hope I start to feel differently.
Let’s be honest. We are all displaying the same attitudes towards our owners that Nice fans did too. I guess that in itself speaks volumes.
Just to sum up ........ 1) Twelve young players brought in - all with great potential - most costing the club to bring them in - all players on 4 year contracts. However up to now it hasn’t worked out - but there’s intentions to strengthen in January if necessary. 2) Stendel gets sacked. I would have hoped he stayed but we don’t know what’s gone off at the club. 3) We can only assume something has gone off because the statement from the club was terse. 4) The club has not given us supporters any further information. Right then - out of those 4 items there is only item number 4 that I’m annoyed with the club ie lack of communication. But it’s no reason to see the teddy out of the pram reactions of some on here. Jeez !!!
But you could have paid off what was owing on Sky, forfeited the months viewing that were left, and gone to Virgin - so not really tied in to Sky. Your choice really, if you were prepared to lose out.
What an immature, belittling, condescending and unfriendly post. Message board 20 odd years. Supporting club 41 years, so aye, plenty of games in the PC era. I can't be bothered responding to the rest of your rant, because it is well known your opinion on anything really can change on a daily basis depending on which way the wind is blowing. There's been the odd sensible post from you recently but generally you quickly revert to type. WUM. End of. Good day to you.
