Why is it strange to look at a different alternative to what everyone else is offering? what do I think? I find it utterly bizarre how they offered kind words for a man who left to go to Leeds and a man who seemed clueless in messers Heckingbottom and Morais but yet fail to thank DS for his heroics last season......these men ain’t billionaires due to continual PR failings they are astute tactical geniuses who will deliver and execute in there fields of business so why attempt to piss off 12,000 football fans in a town where we can’t attract others to attend oakwell? All seems odd to me hence my open question to you all.
If hypothetically Stendel has done something in breach of his contract then yes of course he deserves sacking but it doesn’t excuse the appalling transfer window & lack of communication
I agree with most responses here. Maybe the club had a perfectly valid reason for parting company with Stendel. Maybe they didn't. Maybe they are unable for whatever reason to comment on the cause of his departure. It's all supposition on the part of everyone as far as I can see. The fact remains that they could and should have handled things far more diplomatically with regard to their communication with the supporters than just issuing the statement they did. Whether they had good reason or not to dismiss Stendel their actions since have been entirely dismissive of their customers.
“They are acute tactical geniuses.” Pfft. I can think of many descriptions for the Board. But that isn’t the first one that springs to mind.
I postulated something similar on another post as a possible scenario, but it seems yours has stoked more conversation.
If you like being shot down by know-it-alls that would rather challenge you rather than answer the question in a reasonable manner.
Breached his contract could mean sooooo many things. Heres another scenario, what if the board are in serious breach of their powers and DS has called them on it and seeking legal help (hence the scilence). Is that worthy of consideration?
The problem with the OP is there is no evidence at all to support his hypothesis. He just made it up. He may as well have said what if the board knew Stendell had been eating babies. In any case even if the notion was valid it still doesn’t excuse the total lack of communication or acknowledgement from the club
I don't think it's fair to be asking people on here if they'd offer an apology. We can only work on what we're told and we've been told very little. The most popular Barnsley manager in recent times was sacked and we have never been given an explanation as to why. The reaction on here was to be expected, if a bit overblown - I myself stated I wanted the board to leave the club. I don't really, not yet at least, but I was angry and frustrated. Hypothetically, would I think again about the actions of the board if it came to public light that Daniel had breached his contract or had acted in a way that was unbefitting of a Barnsley manager? Yes, obviously. That's what you do when you get new information. Regardless, it seems a very unfair question to ask at this point with the information currently available in public domain.
The question included the word IF.... A fair question... Why do so many of the people on here feel the need to dissect posts instead of contributing positively. Too many clowns on this forum
He hasn't made anything up.... He asked a question which included the word 'IF' based on a scenario that looks increasingly likely. As for thanking DS.... who gives a ****, DS won't, it's his job and his bank balance will do the talking.
Very strange reaction to this post. People ask hypothetical ‘What If’ questions all the time, on here, down the pub, at home. Not sure why the OP is being accused of making things up when he hasn’t stated anything as fact. Feels like discussion is dead at times.
What if there are aliens controlling Paul Conway meaning that they sent him a message saying Sack Daniel. Equally likely
You beat me to this mate, I think JC as asked a perfectly valid question and just offering a different point of view to discuss.
Aye. It’s equally likely that something gross misconduct like went on between an employer and an employee vs. our owner being taken over by aliens. I highly doubt Stendel committed gross misconduct, but let’s play the game of discussion properly. Especially when we don’t know anything as fact.
