I'm not keen on JC, but it isn't going to stop me voting Labour. The reason I am not keen on JC, is that he isn't likeable and charismatic enough to appeal to enough of the electorate. His personal views don't come into it, they have nothing to do with party policy, which is decided by the party conference.
I fully understand the differences. I also understand that we are currently selling what's left of our industrial/manufacturing/tehnological soul to China. The new Sino/French power stations at Sizewell & Hinkley Point. The latter will be the most expensive plant in the world at £24bn. To pay for it, monumental subsidies lasting until 2060 will dwarf any PFI ever devised. To make matters worse the Chinese get a guaranteed price of £92.50 per megawatt hour – double the usual price. The EU tried to block cheap subsidised steel to protect our steel industries but UK vetoed it, to our own detriment. Jaguar Land Rover are moving production of their next generation of cars to China and Austria. Mainland Chinese students are flooding UK universities on Chinese 'research grants' and acting as industrial spies stealing technological data whilst intimidating HK Chinese students. The list goes on. I spent eight years working in China. Their business strategies are insidious, ruthless and they will play the 'long game'. Like Trump they will put their interests well in front of anyone else and it will get worse post Brexit.
Ffs... Total misrepresentation. All of those accusations are, quite frankly, stupid. Might as well say he funds ISIS, will bring back death camps for Jewish people and will disband the British army. That's similarly stupid but it's not a million miles from your position. By the way, I'm in no way saying YOU are stupid. Just the comment.
I'm so glad you've made this point as I've publicly slated Healey many a time on here. That man is the most incompetent idiotic shitebag I've ever met.
Well, he did. However, I know how it works on here when you say anything against Labour. You don't have to make a public apology for doing so if you never did it.
As much as I appreciate the people of Goldthorpe may be well versed in the nuances and language of Middle East geopolitics, and it may form a major consideration in their voting preferences, with respect I think it may be more important to question why the local sure start centre has closed.
This isn't about defending Labour. You've just branded someone as "scum" on the basis of a misquote that you don't understand relating to a complex issue that you may understand although may well not - I don't think many of us on here would pretend to, I certainly don't. Consequently I've challenged you on it.
but he also apologised and said he shouldn’t have used those phrases. Il await your castigation of Johnson’s use of the phrase “postbox” to which he hasn’t apologised
You said he didn't say it. He did. I find it poor that people will blatantly lie in order to try and manipulate someone to think a different way.
Also, any man who refers to any terrorist outfit as his brothers deserves being called scum. We all make mistakes, but he's done things like this time and time again.
Don’t forget there are people out there who think they’re looking after their kids best interests by not vaccinating them against MMR, because of the lies of one rogue Doctor 20 odd years ago.
