Toby Sibbick

Unless he's playing in the centre of midfield, then positionally he is quite possibly the worst player I've seen. He can't play either flank of the full back or outside three of the centre halves we are playing now. I thought he was shocking today. Really not a big fan of him at all. Sadly, thrown in at the deep end and I don't think he's going to improve at this level.

 

It's too much too soon imo cant fault his effort though but like you say thrown in at the deep end. Had a better 2nd half than 1st half though.

Sibbick completely gave up for the last half hour. Not sure why

 

Don't know where you read that I blamed it all on Sibbick? But positionally he is terrible, I don't know how anyone can defend that.

 

Suppose you missed the ball into the box late in the second half where he literally watched the ball pass him, and then again in the second half watch the Bristol player just run past in him in hope of offside.

 

Instrumental in the equaliser. He's gonna be a very good player. Not his fault he's been thrown into a U23 team trying to compete in the championship.

 

I thought he had a terrible second half personally

 

Absolutely, like I said sadly thrown in too deep which I really think will hinder his development

They all cover for each other.
Sibbick pace has saved us on many occasions this season and several tonight too.
If we had a decent coach, the players we have could be moulded into a good unit.
But they are being chopped and changed.
Everyone goes on about Pinnock And Lindsays last season.
They were up against poorer players and played consistently in a partnership.
That luxury has not been afforded to Diaby, Halme, Mads & Sibbick.
Put Williams in between two of the 4 above and we would see a completely different defensive performance.

 

I thought first half Bristol definitely targeted the gap between and behind Brown and Sibbick but I don’t think Sibbick player particularly bad. He was key to our equaliser with a nice lay off.

 

Not sure where everyone is reading that I said it was his fault. I clearly stated it's sad he's been thrown in at the deep end. But his positional play is shocking. Absolutely not his fault that he's not ready for this level of football, could not agree more.

I am surprised he is the worst anyone has seen at oakwell baring in mind some of the tripe we have signed in our past.

 

He looks like a cool classy player but there is something missing but familiar .

He reminds me of someone but ....

This is not a criticism just an observation .

football is all about opinions but that opinion of a lad who, in my opinion, is going to develop a successful career in the game, iand which is doing a good job for us, is just about the worst opinion I've ever heard.....in my opinion.
