True, hard to know without any transfers really being disclosed to us. Anything can be leaked in the news as a rough estimate

    Matchday today lads and lasses.

Remember all players contracts are accounted for, so anything we spend today goes straight into January's transfer kitty.

    You Reds.

95% of the instalments as been spent, that's how l would read it. But putting 95% on here, with half of the board half reading it and the other half furiously hammering their keyboards to death at any sign of the owners nicking money means it's been quite an interesting few days. :)

Well summed up Gordon. I have attended hundreds of meetings over the years and what you can't do is take it as face value what is sometimes written but taken out of context when actually present meant another thing.
    Eg "Are you alright"
2 meanings especially with a Yorkshire accent. Polar opposites.
Not the best example by all means but can be read differently.
When I first joined the bbs. One of my first posts offended the person I replied to. Apologised profusely as it wasn't my intent. When I read it back to myself I fully understood what he meant. From that day I read over and over again to try and not make that mistake again. Even sometimes editing as soon as posted. Once represented a lad at a routine investigation. The minutes were taken. When sent to me they totally misrepresented what me and the lad under investigation had said. To say I was fuming and let them know in not so many words. Defied belief. As he was then put forward for discipline I had to hand over to his particular union advisor. Explained to him and won hands down , No case to answer.
Earlier on I said the club used the word advisers. Someone else said lawyers. in most cases both the same. I represent colleagues and am an adviser. In normal work circumstances I would ask for clarification.

Totally different to anything I put if you read the full explanation. If you're saying what you've put was a lie and have evidence, fine. Your perogative.

I'm not disputing what you wrote or what was said.

    But come on.

I believe you were there in attendance when I went to the one and only meeting I ever went to.

I asked that very question. It's also in black and white in historic notes.

I asked that question and it was confirmed that nobody else had any such clauses. 3 weeks later or so. Craig Davies was sold for 300k for that very reason.

It's why I don't bother going to them.

So if the club says we don't have any now, I'm not inclined to believe it.

It wasn't a dig at you either so please don't take is as such.

I was referring to the quoted tweet from matchday drinkers

Fair enough Nez. In that respect. but you cannot use that scenario at the present owners until evidence suggests they are liars. Quite a few use the dealings of previous regimes to throw at this lot. As you are aware . One of the lies the board have supposedly said being spouted on here is .One of the best/or best transfer dealings ever. Depends how you look at it. but to use the word liars, Nah , I'd want more proof than that. If anyone lies to me that I have proof as you said. Believe me you'd get to know about it.

    I agree.

    I'm just extremely cautious.

They are supposedly using the same plan or a more extreme version.

So I do not at present believe we won't use the same tactics with clauses and the use of these meetings other than they have to or a means of a PR exercise.

If anything I'm more inclined to believe the new regime wouldn't allow such clauses and i hope they don't. But time will tell.

The plan will not be altered. When asked. I also believe that plan to be flawed as did others. And reasons were pointed out. But they see it as the best way forward. They also made it quite clear relegation was not contemplated and not in the plans. The impression that they will look at new players but with youth as well as experience. ( Suppose mowatt fits that bill)

January will be a defining moment.

**** or bust so to speak (well not bust as in the actual word)

Be interesting to see what metal they have when the inevitable sniffing around Woodrow happens... And what they may bring in.

We will likely need a 2nd half season like flicker as it stands.

3 points today is a must in my eyes

Then they're fools not to contemplate relegation given our current standing. Every man and his dog is pointing out the need for some experience in our squad.

First if all, a massive thank you to those on here and on other social media, who attended the meeting and afterwards gave up their time to summarise the discussions.

After reading through the posts, most of the discussions appear to have focused on contracts, finance, clauses, strategy, plans, profit etc. My question is quite simple - were there any discussions about winning football matches?

Another where I may have slightlty put the wrong impression. I asked what their thoughts were regarding the possibility of religation and of the accusations on here they want to use us as a yo yo club. Totally refuted relegation as a mindset. as I would expect. Like any club I would think they'd be prepared for any eventuality. But exceptions with the likes of Bolton. Bury banking on promotions that backfire. more serious concerns if I was involved or a supporter of.

This is exactly what I meant with my Chinese whispers comment. It's a bizarre way to keep fans informed because the message that you share isn't the message they necessarily intended. You and jay were both at the same meeting but both came out of it giving differing information.

Not your fault obviously but shows how bad the system is when the club has a website it can put things on

Did anyone challenge the 95% thing which I presume is stretching the truth to an almost infinite level. Did you not say is not the outlay in wages not balanced by money saved on the wages of those who departed ( presumably 4 of our highest earners).

Maybe next time they decide to have one of these meetings, we can help them get a true supporter cross-section by supplying them with a copy of the now infamous Ponty End Map! They should get 2 people from each "section", as I can't see anyone from the "Kid in Goalie Gloves" section invited...

Remember when looking at the finances, they stated in the Q&A when Stendel was in charge that the vast amount of the TV money isn't paid until January. So those quoting we have had 6 million are off the mark.

A budget should be annualised and cover the season and financial year, cash flow is a completely different matter.
