was he more then happy pre season or did he keep saying in every interview he did that we needed experience bringing into the team?
The position our players hold in open play can be altered and should be dictated by the head coach, he is the one allowing us to attack kamikaze style leaving massive gaps at the back. Get Diaby fit and either play 3 at the back or stop sending your full backs on suicide missions. Ending in the bottom 3 is our destiny based on wages with no improvement from the head coach, which means if we finish in the bottom 3 then Stendal made no difference and we might as well have had a hat stand in the dugout and used the money we saved in wages for better players.
At last someone that thinks the same, Attack attack attack....it doesn’t work. We are in the Championship not the bundesliga
If it really is the case that a manager of good enough can win with any squad.... why do Man City pay so much for players ? They just need to buy the best manager, then fill their squad with blokes from the local WMC?
Unfortunately everyone one else in the champ has superior tools and better tradesmen using them. Ie they have dewalt power tools ... we have a knife, fork and a spoon!!
Poor recruitment and a manager struggling to find the best way to cope with an inferior squad in a top league. All must take some of the responsibility...
He authorised all but two signings (Collins and A.Nother) and every single foreign signing was made on the back of his recommendation bar the striker signed last minute. So he may have wanted experience, but he didn't ask the board for it.
So we have got rid of our manager (who was obviously at fault), replaced him, changed formation, brought 3 players back in (dougal, cavare & diaby) and hey....we still cant win. Wanna go again??? Ill help you ..."this very young, very inexperienced squad are not good enough for this league.....yet!"
