We all know it's bad at present so let's just give up. A new manager should be appointed soon and January to come. Its not the first time in our history we have struggled and won't be the last who ever is the owner. We are not a big club with a big fan base and we are not entitled to stay up. I see young lads trying but struggling against big sides with experienced players. It may be we have to prepare for next season and let these young lads gain experience and go again. The board as poor as they are and as much of a mess they have made are still all we have and we don't have many options but I for one have been coming to oakwell for over 40 years and I'm not just giving up.
We are not entitled to stay up. Agreed. The nature of sport requires there be winners and losers. What I cannot accept is the wilful disregard the owners of the club have shown for we poor sods who fork out our hard-earned to support them. I, for one, am not being wise after the event. I predicted that our summer activities would lead to relegation. But even I didn’t think it would, to all intents and purposes, be certain by mid-November. We deserve better than this. Much better.
I'm surprised we only 5 points adrift we 8 points after 16 games. Much as love the club not the board I can't see us getting off bottom league for rest of season now
we are not entitled to stay up, but we are entitled to answers, and explanations, not silence. the board want us fans to sing and get behind the team, so why don't they start speaking
The board are not really relevant in the big scheme of things as they wont be here forever but we will always be Barnsley fans, Barnsley the town will be here and we will have a football team. We go through ups and downs always have and will. They are not speaking because they are not very good and are making a mess of it at the moment it may improve if we can get in a lucky manager in and a couple of decent signings, if it gets worse they wiil probably cut their losses and go or if it gets better sell up and make a few quid either way we will be here longer than them
If the plan fails ie we get stuck in league 1 player values and tv money / season tickets drop then they are not going to hang around and I cant see another Bury being allowed to happen, so we may have to accept being a yo yo club for another few years yet but we may drop lucky and stay up one year. It is what it is but giving up now protesting against the board, booing players off, picking scapegoats helps no one.
