Well there where we disagree and my points have been well aired on here . I hope for all our sakes that the alternative doesn’t get his majority especially for the sake of the homeless with many ex military .
Not playing it down Mr C, must have been unpleasant to hear, I didn't hear it myself but I’m not pretending it didn't happen.
I know we dint agree in JC Marlon, but I do think that Boris will get his majority and when he does labour needs to have a good hard look at where it went wrong
Barnsley’s had government cuts of 40% since 2010. No one needs memories of a miners strike to hate Tories round here.
Might it be reasonable to presume that this was reported to the match officials by McClean in person, or was it clear and loud enough for the officials to have heard it in any case?
The IRA/Pope songs could be heard by everyone, but McLean reported shouts from individuals in the East Stand to the ref from what I could tell. Pretty sure he did that twice in the first half.
Yes, but think back to the last labour government and what their policies ultimately brought about, 10 years of austerity after Blair shot his bolt and left Gordon brown out to dry with this country in huge financial debt, still, he’s done ok after sending us into a hitherto illegal war at the time. They are both as bad as each other and each front bench is loaded with upper-class schemers let’s face it.
Austerity was a choice not a necessity , I agree about the war but there were more labour MPs voted against the war the Tories to a man voted for it and that’s why it got through as otherwise it would have been defeated.
I know who I would much rather have. It has been repeated endlessly but, again, it was a GLOBAL financial crisis. The Tories have used it as an excuse to ruin our public services and push the poorest in society further into poverty. Whilst looking after their own rich (and Russian) benefactors. In the process borrowing more in 9 years than Labour has done during its whole period in Government. I may have issues with Corbyn, particularly his approach to Brexshit, but I’d definitely rather be dead in a ditch than vote Tory.
You realise that just because someone from another disagrees with a war in their country doesn't mean they're a terrorist right?
I heard chants of you dirty fenian ******* loud and clear. The abuse was there for all to see and he’s rightly pointed it out. The club will do nothing as they always do while they break seats and remind us all of the 70s and 80s.
We haven’t been reported to the fa for booing though have we? Booing him for his stance, bit juvenile but ok. Don’t try and suggest that the **** the Ira song was a coincidence though. It is sung away but that’s the first time I’ve heard it at home in a long time. It was aimed at him. And your previous point about court proceedings was interesting. I think it very likely that the singing of banned sectarian songs would in the eyes of a court of law be accepted as a racist act. Maybe not criminal but they in my opinion wouldn’t accept it as not being racist. Whether you agree isn’t really relevant. As it is we won’t be in court - just a hastily arranged FA sanctioning hearing. They will take it as racist, as they did the Diaby song. The club will be found to have fans singing racist songs and punishment issued. Again, the fact that you and others don’t agree will be worth diddly squat.
It doesn’t make it right but if we’ve been reported I hope Wednesday have too! I’m in the East Upper at the north end and I didn’t hear anything?
Incidentally the replies on Twitter to this are a complete shambles. I've no idea how to embed a tweet but if you look up @cccammy1 and his tweet then you'll see some utter beauties.
