Some top songs among that lot. Saw Kirk Brandon and Spear of Destiny a few times in the late 80s. Fantastic front man.

Seeing Ruts DC supporting Alabama 3 at Brixton same day we play Millwall. Last time I saw them was in Camden supporting Wilco Johnson, they always give good value.

Kirk requested the Liquidator. He sang it in my ear. Funny as ****. Also requested the Slickers, but couldn't name the track, just gave me the lyric. Everybody in there were f-ing brilliant. I can't believe I got paid for doing this, including a massive bar tab & being taken to an amazing steak house with the owners & one of my other DJs, who was playing the other bar in the club. I bought the Crack when it came out & if I die tomorrow I'll be a happy man.

I have the vast majority of those songs and love the bands.
Saw Spear of Destiny supporting Bunnymen at York Race Course circa 1984.
You are a lucky man doing that for a living!

Still like West One (shine on me) as my fav Ruts track. Also the B sides of their singles were always good. SoD seemed to be everyone’s support band in the early 80’s and for that reason I think I saw them loads of times. Great band live at that time.

Yes I saw SoD a few times in the eighties, always supporting someone else. Have DJ'd two of their Westworld festivals. Not sure I'm doing the next one, as it's down in Wolverhampton, but we'll see.
