This Government cannot be voted back in, it’s that simple. They become more and more unacceptable everyday.

 

It's time to get over Margaret Thatcher. It was the Labour government that started the closure of the pits. Coal is not economically viable, and certainly not environmentally friendly. My dad worked down the pits and coal put food on our table and I appreciate all that, but it is history. The labour party now is dominated by extreme Left wingers, Marxists who will cause capital to fly from this country and lead us down the road of places like Venezuela.

If you are a Brexit Party supporter - then you realize that any Brexit Vote in the three Barnsley constituencies is a vote for Labour/SNP coalition, remaining in the EU and the split up of the Union. Time to get over that huge chip on your shoulders - the tactical vote to get rid of the Labour Donkeys is to vote Tory. And if you think they are filthy, lying scum or whatever - just have a think about it.

Also today, the Tories are sharing a video of an interview with Jess Phillip's where she says manifestos are not to be trusted.....making out that it was recorded AFTER the Labour launch when in reality it was filmed weeks ago.

 

Do you seriously believe one term in office will turn us into Venezuela?

 

Surely, even the most biased Conservative can see that politically we are further to the right of politics than we have ever been. All we Labour voters want is to redress the balance back a little to the left - we don't want a communist revolution, just some balance.

 

Like at the last election the Labour manifesto mirrors policies already in place in other developed countries. The problem with the UK is we only protect services connected to financial services. This reliance has lead to the state we are in. The only meaningful tax payer backed bailouts have gone to the financial sectors. Why? The tax payers we're rewarded with austerity for over a decade and the Tories are now promising to just about put us back on an even keel. 20,000 extra police, a giant sized lie they cut more than that. 20,000 doesn't bring us up to pre 2008 levels. Natural wastage (retirements, officers leaving the profession on mass) hasn't been addressed, and the pay for new officers is less than it was in 2008. Pay peanuts get monkeys. The privatisation of prisons and probation services is a good example of what happens when greed gets in the way of public service.

It's time to try a different approach, and before anyone mentions Venezuela, don't be daft!

 

Why do they always bring up Venezuela, and not Vietnam? - Socialist government and in the top 5 fastest growing economies in the world.

Its not like American sanctions won't have a major effect on a countries economy (see also Cuba, Iran and others).

When JC was asked if the EU would allow state owned enterprises and if that would be legal. He stated that other EU nations already run them or governments have major shares in them. Such businesses aren't allowed to rip off the public. Why is it cheaper for me to travel to and around German for week at short notice than it is for me to travel to London and back at short notice?

 

Just as an aside... i'd like to know if at every labour event, they have a recording of a Cherokee indian yiyiyiyiyiyi-ing, or, its a single person doing it, or, if there is a rota system.

PS, David, if you spent maybe 5 mins reading about it on something other than some Breitbart sponsored claptrap you'd realise that the policies of the current Labour party are far from 'extreme left wing' or 'marxist'.

The cheek of this clown- telling people to vote Tory for:
a) Environmental reasons
b) To avoid the break up of the union
c) Because Tories don't lie
d) Because it is in the interest of an ex mining town
As though all of the above aren't provably false and things the Tories are actively working to destroy (those are only the points in his post- I shudder to think what else he believes.)

Really does make my blood boil that these people always have the nerve to frame it condescendingly as though people that have seen the demonstrable and visible damage to this country and community are all too stupid to really understand that our Bullingdon Club masters know whats best for us.

Agree with you. I've never leaned to blue, but there will be some policies that I'm not averse to. But this version of blue is beyond anything I could imagine as a mainstream political party. Lies, deceit, no remorse, no apology. Charlatans and sycophants galore. I suspect their version of a manifesto will be a version of lies that we've never seen before. How you can profess to be a one nation party while pushing to the boundaries of far right, is truly beyond me.

But its not about politics, its about power, its about winning. And not just that, but damaging all others while inflicting defeat on them.

This is a horrible horrible election and when you get into the world of social media… its vile at best and evil at worst. Bad times.
