I'd hope as they are part of the Academy and u23's that they are safe from a new broom.

But we should know by now that literally nothing is sacred at this club. Everything is for sale, everything can be jettisoned on a whim.

Hassell is Academy Manager so completely unrelated. Devaney is Head Coach of the Under 23 squad.

    .
This is nothing different from any club that brings in a new manager and he wants his own staff. Would be gutted to see Devaney or Hassel go. But it’s the norm at most football clubs. Not sacred ? If Devaney is given the opportunity to progress his career. Would you expect him to stay ?. If his love for the club prevented him from furthering his career. He’s taking a massive chance. Re Bobby his position is probably less under threat. And he has turned bigger money down elsewhere during his playing days cos of his love of the club.

I strongly suspect the owners would have no qualms sacking Bobby if they felt his views were sufficiently divergent to theirs.

As I said, nothing is sacred.

So you’d keep one of your staff. That goes against your directions. If your not on board with any strategy at any football club. You’d be shown the door. In football most/if not all of the playing/coaching staff work under term contacts. But as I’ve said it’s usually the new manager or head coach that may INSIST on his own coaching/back room staff. Some are prepared to work with the retained staff. Especially in lower divisions where compensation could drastically effect their operating costs.

In some structures, the culture allows dialogue. Some people view a more dynamic culture to be formed by people having a say, by having input, by having opportunity to speak without fear of penalty. Its the most dictatorial of cultures that suppress alternate views and are poorer as a result.

Wow, you'veover egged that a bit. It's a football coach bringing his own coaching staff, the norm really.
