which point in mainland England and Wales is furthest from one of the present top four division football grounds ? (- and it's not Lands End!)
we well done Fired - think you're right -- (the distance between the mid Wales towns and Shrewsbury is less than from Aberdaron to Liverpool.
and another one -- over the season which supporters (England and Wales) travel the most miles if they go to every away game in their division (assuming they set off from their home ground.)
I'd have guessed at somewhere like Aberystwyth given that it takes about four weeks to drive there and the last three weeks of the journey is just a vast swathe of nothing.
75 112 70 Aberystwyth app 72 miles to Swansea - 75 miles to Shrewsbury. Furthest spot (I think) is Aberdaron -- 112 miles from Liverpool. MK -- Spare a thought for the Aberystwyth expectant mothers who need specialist care - they go to Shrewsbury Hospital - (not the safest of places either !)
Not sure, I'd guess it's a bit further than that. It certainly is very scenic and you get plenty of time to take in the view.
