    Actually just googled him and surprised to see he was only in his mid 20s when we signed him. Thought he was a lot older. Apparently had a drinking problem according to an interview he recently gave to RTE in Ireland

    It later came out that he was suffering from depression & was desperate to rip up his contract & go back home to Ireland.

    Although we’d been relegated the previous season Dale Jennings had finished the season well & won a couple of player of the month awards for us & I expected him & Treacy to be our two best players & rip teams apart, that went well!

    Been watching for over 50 years. We’ve had much worse players than that team that was relegated but don’t recall a more miserable watch week in week out.
