    It goes some way towards recovering the situation that existed between the club and fans. They still have a lot of spade work to do in the January window though, because the current situation with the squad is still an open wound.

    Just listening to bbc interview now. It’s like a horror show. I mean, my ears are cringing

    “The biggest mistake we’ve learned from this summer (waits for it...) I mean the thing we need to learn from (it’s coming)...the squad is too big (what?!)

    i HOPE he means we should be getting quality in not quantity.

    I've looked at our summer recruitment for months now thinking we just went for the scatter gun approach trying to hoover up any young talent we could get instead of getting the best players we could for this division.

    "Early in the season". How early?
    I wonder what tipped the balance in DS's mind to look elsewhere? Did in coincide with events, player sales, at BFC which made him wonder what the flip he was doing here?
    The first thing that struck me, as has already been mentioned, is that all the time he had been looking elsewhere and had been found out, he was prepared to go for social drinkies with his fans who knew nothing about these goings on. I wonder if they had known would they have been so sociable and amicable towards him.
    Or then again, there may be another side to this saga which we will never know. Anyroadon, it's yet another sad little episode in our history.

    It's good to have clarity at last, but I have to say the whole thing has not been handled
    very well. A lot of adverse criticism would and should have been avoided if the Club had
    outlined the reason DS had gone, without going into great detail.

    I dont agree with him doing negotiations behind the clubs back but I've a feeling it is a more common occurrence than we might suppose.However, other clubs spoke out about it at the time like Preston when rumours were abounding that their manager was wanted by other clubs.
    For me he was welcome to the farewell drinks for what he'd achieved with the club.

    Can he now be put in the same club as Danny Wilson and Paul Heckingbottom or does because he managed to get the best squad in league 1 to finish second exempt him from criticism still?

    So I'm listening to Conway but he's not convincing me. It's all about money. I dont think Daniel wanting to move on would be purely about more money for himself yet that's the only reason he can give.Can Struber really not cope with the squad at it's present size?
