This thread is supposed to be a tribute to our wonderful NHS and its dedicated, skilled and caring staff. Would it be possible to put the tedious political crap elsewhere?

I'd class my self as an ordinary man Marlon. Work 60 hours + per week on short term contracts. No holiday pay, sick pay or other benefits. What I don't agree with is people who can work that don't want to but expect everyone else to pay for them.

Nobody should need to work 60 hours plus per week.
I'd suggest you think a little more seriously about how you plan to cast your vote.

Another part of the forum perhaps like it was overwhelmingly voted for in a poll a few month ago? @Gally

So Corbyn will team up with Sturgeon and allow her another referendum to split up the UK?

Then they have completed your Programming.

Whilst making you work long hours in order to survive they’ve managed to train you to believe your enemy aren't the ones actually getting rich from your toil, but the poor and helpless who need your help to not die.

how they succeed doing this is amazing, how they manage to turn the working class on their own so they can run away with the spoils is criminal.

Then why mention you work 60 hours a week.
There are very few ordinary working men that work 60 hours because they enjoy it.
I hope you remain in work and good health though because Boris ain't going to help you if you don't.

Because of my German connections I've occasionally had to use the health systems in Germany and Austria. The difference is stark. The first question over there is "How are you going to pay?". In our system it's "What can I do for you?". Long live the NHS, and thank you to each and every one of you that work in it.

Well... I was only posting as an addendum to what I'd read on here and which had made me think about things. I have noticed that it got politicised quite quickly. I am sure there are some Tories who agree with the ideals of the NHS. I am equally sure there are lots of Liberal-Democrats who believe in it (especially the older, liberal wing). Me being a socialist I think it is a marvellous invention. Yes, it's an invention. It got dreamed up by an idealist and it ended up being introduced. Wonderful. The political element for me is.. it is the last great 'socialist' element in our society. Thatcher destroyed the unions then by privatising the previously nationalised companies the next steps were taken. Workers rights have been eroded (I could mention a few, particularly with tribunals and reasons for dismissal) and all the while people sit and take it by accepting things, failing to see the big picture or not being bothered enough to stop it. IF, next, the NHS is opened up to Capitalist US companies we can, at the very least see a charge for seeing a GP or an increase in prescription charges. It could be worse. There are already reports of some 'lower class' conditions like arthritis put in the loop so patients are advised to take painkillers as a temporary hold (check it out with your own research if you don't believe me)
The NHS is the last big thing that needs attacking by the right wing Conservatives. It will free up the market, be more efficient per se and will therefore be a boon in their eyes.
For me, the NHS is a wonderful invention. It needs protecting. To get to see a specialist cancer doctor for free if you are stricken is an absolutely fantastic thing. The Tories (most of them) will strip that away from you. They will. Be afraid, be very afraid.
