Marlo Marlon my mate I’ve not supported labour since Blair, certainly not this shower, and certainly wont again if they elect kin Thornberry as the next leader. I rejoice in the end of corbyn, hopefully of the far left, its not what the country needs or wants. What labour need to do now is look honestly at themselves, how badly they got it wrong and come up with a better strategy. Bleating in about brexiteers not knowing what theyre voting for, duped by boris, duped by the media blame anything but labour will get the party nowhere.
I believe that Tory gains in Yorkshire will be attributable to people voting for the Brexit party which has unwittingly let the Conservatives in by the back door. If the exit poll prediction is accurate, it points to the fact that the decision by Farage not to field a Brexit candidate in every constituency has definitely worked in favour of the Tory party.
You're after a miracle there pal under a Tory government, but I really hope you do get a vote and get independence because, to put it bluntly, we are now F-cuked under this Buffoon.
Fair enough but to cheer a labour loss choose who is the leader for a lovely person if a party that’s kicked this town fir all it’s worth is as low as you can get . Whether you’re a supporter of labour or not you’re gloating at a Tory victory and that says a lot .
Why a miracle mate? Huge majority of Scotland in a union of equals want a referendum to assess if independence is wanted. It cannot be refused. The EU and the World will be watching. So do we live in a democracy or a dictatorship? It will happen.
I’m the same. I was only a kid in Mexborough during the miners strike but I saw the impact then. I’ve seen a place like Wakefield struggling and just getting it’s head above the water under Labour, but really we can dress it up how we like, immigration no doubt is the driving force. So in 5 years if the magic fairy hasn’t delivered a smooth Brexit and kicked Out all the Poles there’s going to be a lot of angry people in Wakefield.
Britain was once a great country of free thinkers. Now we're no different to America, choosing a sociopathic liar in a beauty contest. A man with no substance, just a simple message 'get Brexit done'. Simple message for simple people. I'm ******* done with this country. When people educate themselves via Facebook and the Daily Mail instead of actually doing a bit of actual research, then I'm with some my close European friends in saying there's nothing great about Britain anymore. In fact I'll go as far as saying I'm now an enemy of the state. Thatcher's Britain educated me in what government shouldn't be , Blair's Britain gave me hope, a good career and education ( a degree), Boris' Britain makes me ashamed to be British. The Scots need to get out whilst they can. I'll be looking forward to becoming a Scottish national in due course.
No pal, am gloating at a labour loss under corbyn. I don't do twitter but they've just shown Caroline Flints tweet in the bbc sums it up perfectly for me.
Ian I think this pr1ck of a Prime Minister will not allow the good people of Scotland to enter into a referendum again under his watch but I hope I am wrong.
Surprised at the exit poll results suggesting such a large majority, but seems unlikely to be that wrong to stop a Tory majority of any description. I thought that Labour would do OK if voters baulked at voting Tory when they entered the solace of the voting booth. It would appear their hard headed want for Brexit has won the day for the Tory party who have offered absolutely nothing in terms of setting out any policy for the next 5 years. As I said in a previous post...divide and rule is what Brexit was always about. Congratulations to the Tory party, hard luck to many others. Desperately sad, not for myself, just for the country. Worrying times if it plays out with a right wing government free to do as it wishes.
How many times will we hear this in next five years when benefits are cut “ I voted Tory but look what the ******** have done .
Gutted. I think I'd accept Corbyn losing the leadership if only Labout could unite on who would replace him. Biy I cant see that happening either. Personally I didnt see why Ed Milliband resigned so soon. Corbyn was persuaded to stand because there was no one who everyone could get behind . It was seen as time to try a new tack.
How thick are the Lib dem voters, cons on less than 800 but Lib Dem vite is 2,000plus ? In Blyth Valley
You didn't vote Labour under Brown or Milliband (along with many others of your ilk) Who would you have voted for?
anyone who is gloating is a bit of a lovely person. A tory win is a labour loss. Don’t claim you are a labour man and gloat when they lose. Socialist principles extend far beyond the leader of the Westminster political party.
When workers rights are attacked, jobs are lost due companies relocating, when homes are repossessed, when NHS waiting times keep going up, when class sizes reach 45-50, when crime continues to go up, when immigration figures don't come down, when actual hospital closures outpace those built. Then folk will wake up, but only after they've stopped reading t
