Totally ripped Momentum’s Jon Lansman a new one last night - sat right next to him.

Brilliant TV and he got it spot on.

Anyone in doubt why Labour has lost, needs to watch this clip. It’s the reason why most Labour voters have gone elsewhere......

“Corbyn couldn’t lead the working class out of a paper bag....”. Brilliant.

Alan Johnson was a brilliant MP in my opinion - the best party leader they never had. As usual I think he is absolutely spot on with his assessment and after listening to a lot of the post-mortems given by current and former Labour MPs he is not alone with his opinion.

I watched it & found it entertaining but hypothetically even if Labour had less momentum influence & were more central they wouldn’t have got anywhere near winning as the seats the Tories took for the most part were the ones that had clearly voted leave. It was the Brexit election.

The biggest problem is Labour is completely divided between leave & remain but more importantly it’s completely split between more left wing policies & more Blair like policies. Whichever route they go down alienates the other. It feels like they’re a party on the verge of splitting into two.

I don’t know how they get over that but they need to & fast. They need to be ready for 5 years time when the next election comes round to have a party that appeals to the nation to recover from whatever mess Brexit leaves us in.

The list of possible leaders is pretty grim reading. I think what they need to realise is the vast majority of voters aren’t very bright. That might sound harsh but it’s true. You’ve only got to look at places like Blyth voting for the Tories or the amount of idiots sharing Corbyn IRA nonsense or taking the piss out of Diane Abbott’s shoes. As sad as it is these things influence people’s votes.

Labour need to tow the line & instead of appointing a great MP they need to appoint someone the average person relates to who might not be a great MP but is a good talker with an image it’s impossible to slander.

I couldn’t go into detail on every Labour MP but honestly someone like Dan Jarvis would be a good bet. The average numpty would love that he’s ex-forces. He’s not got any obvious features to criticise.

I just don’t see Thornberry, Long-Bailey, Phillips etc connecting with your average voter
