On 2 January, or will he be given the grand entrance from off the bench? It's a fascinating prospect and puts us in the limelight.
I can't make my mind up. If he doesn't play I would laugh at Sky missing out on him being involved when they moved the fixture to accomodate his debut. But if he does play I reckon it's the best possible time to get the game out of the way. He won't have played by then for three and a half months so won't be fully match sharp and it will take him a while to get up to speed with the league and build an understanding with his under performing team mates. I would rather play a Derby team with Rooney January 2nd than nearer the end of the season.
I’m not quite sure that it puts us in the limelight - I think we’ll be relegated to the supporting act in the Wayne Rooney Show. Even if we win!
I have noticed Derby's form has been dire recently 3rd bottom of the form table lost 3 d2 of the last 5 though they did win 6 games ago Hopefully they havent recovered it over Christmas and Rooney will have a destabilising effect
Maybe we could give out free tickets to the local nursing homes and put grannies to the left and right hand sides of the goals.
Definitely. He won't play for ninety minutes but Derby and Sky will milk his appearance for all they can get.
I think we're going to go there and get battered from first minute to last. Almost ceaseless pressure, with the only respite being the sole shot we have on target, which nearly rips the net out. FT: 0-1. I'd forking love it.
Hmmm theres quite a few people here assuming this fixture has been doctored for rooney , lets hope we play like we did against hull/qpr
If Rooney plays like he can .. Our defence will be tore a new Ar5e hole.. There's more holes in it than a colander, or are folk overlooking this... Not only that...the majority of our team will be in awe of him and will most likely still have his picture on their bedroom wall...
