94th minute ”We’ll go down to the Den where there’s been a late goal.” Heart sinks with that same old feeling. Even when he says “Millwall thought they’d earned a point.” I expected him to say; “They’ve taken all three.” Because he’s a bit of a card is Jeff. But no! Unbridled celebrations. Dancing round the room. Causing the neighbours to complain and the family to smile indulgently again. ‘Poor old sod’ they are thinking. None of these things matter. Quest will be a joy. Might even buy the Football League paper now. The world is a good place. Merry Xmas everyone. We go again on Boxing Day.
Me and the other half jumped onto the ceiling almost when Pat put the winner in having watched it on Turkish TV in full HD Don't think our neighbours were too enamoured, I live in an East Midlands Forest and Derby hotspot, can't wait for work on Monday!!
I switched the radio off after Millwall equalised - and fully expected us to have gone down to a late winner from Millwall - oh no!!! The other way round - cracking start to Christmas
I had a fiver treble and watched the match on my tablet. Hull, Reading and the super reds. 85 minutes £76 gone 9 minutes later back again Me and my lad had a great afternoon.
Same here mate, tried to pillock R lass N daughter that wid lost, they and next door heard me though.
You should have been at the ground best celebration I’ve experienced for a while. Must admit when they equalised I feared the worst but we created a couple of good chances before the winner went in right in front of us Happiness !
Went in Tesco on 90 minutes, Came out 10 mins later to the good news. Even the 'ball & chain' was whooping an' hollering.
Lads Xmas day out in Halifax in a micro pub a la Typsy Cow. Just got used to disappointment of their equaliser and praying we’d hang on for a point. Then utter pandemonium as news of winner came thru. Scared the locals shitless lol
Just watched the highlights on Quest ( main game - Jesus!!!!!) and then the piece from the lads on Tykes TV. I know i’ve had a couple of beers tonight but I swear there was a tear in my eye when the Schmidt goal went in. That, coupled with the unbridled joy from the fans who were there was absolutely fantastic to see, as were the reactions of those of us that didn’t travel. Truly brilliant. If only everyone connected with this Club felt that way.
It was my birthday yesterday and decided to take my daughter, afternoon down at Hyde park, spot on lunch then to the game, when we got that corner I said I her watch the scenes if this goes in.......15 seconds later.......lift off!!! My mate had her up in air bodies everywhere folk going absolutely barmy!!! what a day
Having listened to the missus complaining about her trapped sciatic nerve all Saturday I was gutted when Millwall equalised. Was watching Final Score on the BBC and Jason Muhammed said another late goal at Millwall have they got all 3 points but luckily I'd just seen the divisional scores on the left hand side with the beautiful figures Millwall 1 Barnsley 2 . Suddenly her trapped nerve wasn't getting on my nerves anymore and I was looking forward to Quest for a change . Merry Christmas everybody !
As the OP can I just say that you should be ashamed of yourself for the insensitivity shown to your Wife. Can I suggest you get off the BBS and put her on. Thank you Hello Love. I know how painful sciatica can be. I’ve had it for 5 weeks now, though it has eased considerably . Something that may help. Sciatica is often connected with a hip issue. If the pain is down your left side (whether it’s lower back, buttock, thigh or calf) try this exercise. Lay down on a hard surface. (Your Husband’s personality may do!) Legs together stretch your left leg downwards and ease your toes back up towards your body. Hold it for ten seconds. Make sure you’re conscious of pushing your hip downwards rather than just the muscle. Repeat the same exercise with your left leg. You can do this as often as you like. Try it for a couple of days to see if it eases the pressure. Good luck and have a lovely Xmas.xx
