Top of the league .at what...…………. cheating, time wasting, diving, winding up, bullying the ref and generally dragging what could have been a great game down to a level that gives the game a bad name. Well done to our lads for trying to play the game in its true spirit and getting a result few expected. not sure about you guy's but i'd rather play like us than them. Ref not strong enough today. COYR
I think we should take it as a compliment that they didn’t think they could compete with us in an open football match. Was bizarre to see, if you didn’t know any better you’d think they were the side fighting relegation who had got an early goal & were clinging on
I was taught as a kid dunt cheat, ect, ect, but its certainly working in Football, whether we like it or not, cheating is always and will be a problem wi any sport, just look at Russia an Olympics, sportsmen an women, footballers are gerrin better at deceiving refs and officials alike. Mind thi i'm biggest cheat at ought i do, even cheat at snap wi Grandbairns.
One problem is refs dont use the powers they have..ref told off a player for kicking ball away...why? its a booking under the rules plain and simple...refs shud be made to follow the rules and book players as instructed..if not official reprimands after the game. 3 reprimands down the list ya go...players wud soon get the message.
If we can be a bit more streetwise we'll pick up points. Of course we dont have to go all Revie era L**ds but please lads, learn to play the opposition sometimes. It works. Ask Conor Hourihane..
I'm sick of seeing players pick the ball up after a foul, just to slow things down and stop the opposition taking a quick free kick. That should be a booking too IMO.
It is..it comes under the same rule of timewasting and is a bookable offence...as is walking diagonally off the pitch instead of at the nearest point...but no ref books anyone..why???
Murray had us do it at their grarnd and I hated it. Come to think of that game we also threw a lead away.
I have no idea, but it's plainly wrong. One one hand, they're using a slide rule and VAR to rule a goal offside by a millimetre, and yet elsewhere they're allowing referees to use their own judgement about stuff that the average supporter can see should be a booking.
