Must admit during the first half i had similar thoughts because while not particularly playing poorly he didn't seem to be having much of a impact. Absolutely outstanding in the 2nd half though as shown when their players resorted to having to chop him down to stop him
He’s deserved his starts on merit but I’m not sure he’s 100% comfortable on the right of the diamond? He never goes down the outside which you’d expect would be an issue as a competent left back would show him the outside. Although you’d suggest Kieran Gibbs Is one of the better left backs in the division.
At the moment he's more impact sub. When he's had a few more starts that might change. I wouldn't be surprised if Bahre takes his place at Swansea.
I think he’s better as an impact sub but I don’t think there’s a lot in him & Bahre so don’t mind which one starts. He annoyed me a bit first half yesterday as he was wasteful in possession & pulled out of a couple of challenges that were more than 50-50 in his favour. However he more than made up for it in the second half. Really impressive & probably done enough to keep his place although the side might need shaking up due to fitness & the quick turnaround anyway
