A very emotional Scot Peter Wright has beaten Hollands Michael Van Gerwin 7-3
to win his first ever PDC Final. Well done Snakebite. Thoroughly deserved.

Fully deserved win although MVG looked a bit out of sorts.

What a gentleman and family man unlike his opponent. Best ever world championship win? Got to be up there considering all his lost tv finals over the years, oldest ever champion at 49 and beating the best two players in the world along the way. If he hadn't thrashed MVG he would have beaten the Gary Anderson tournament 180s record instead of falling three short on 68.

Unlike his opponent???? MVG has always been gracious when losing. I think you ought to stick to water when your drinking, unless you just don't like MVG...

Congrats to Wright who WAS the best player in the night , and if he was that good then he works have taken the 180 record, stop coming up with snowflake excuses...

If my aunty had a c..k, etc...

I am on about him as a person.....

He's not that gracious with the way he was speaking in the build up mentioning his record versus Peter like it mattered. Happy for Wright to win the big one and the half a million pounds winners prize. Barry Hearn has pandered to Fallon Sherock by giving her a premier league night, but it's not going to spoil the night of darts we've just seen.

MVG is trying to emulate the Taylor mind games, where the players are beat before they play.
He was doing it last night too, leaving big finishes for Wright.
Problem is players are much better than they were in Taylor’s day.
Wright is openly known as one of the nice guys on the circuit and deserves a big win for his consistency of being up there challenging since 2014.

If you listen to his interviews, the only thing Barry Hearne panders to is his Bank Balance. Nice kid though she is, Fallon is now a commodity for Hearne to use to further sell darts to whoever is prepared to pay out. Having said that, I do think she'll be in with a chance of winning a Tour Card at Q School along with Lisa Ashton and Mikuri Suzuki.

That she puts bums on seats was mentioned when events sell out without her all the time. The same excuse he used to keep putting Barney in the premier league. She beat two guys with a low 90 average who had to compete with fans heavily booing all their key shots.

I hope she gets a Q card or one of the other ladies but it will be difficult. It will have some big names there trying to get their card back and I would expect all the big name BDO players to go apart from Scott Mitchell.
