    No need for such chanting in my opinion! McClean has been subjected to it for years - they should charge all the other clubs retrospectively, there’ll be video evidence! Still, easier to charge battling Barnsley

    Not condoning it at all but by far and away the greatest prevalence of that song I've encountered is when attending England games. In which case, shouldn't the cowardly FA be throwing the book at themselves first?

    England (the fa) were given an official warning by FIFA but suffered no punishment after England fans were found guilty of singing anti IRA songs during the world cup last year. In that case FIFA ruled that the songs were political rather than racist.

    Every England game I’ve ever been to - and that’s a hell of a lot - I would say the majority of fans sing ‘no surrender’ in the national anthem just before ‘send her victorious’.

    It's wrong no matter who sings it, who attends a game to sing about terrorists. Your right should be same punishment for all but if you come to games to sing about terrorists and the size of a blokes chopper you need to sort yourself out

    2 wrongs don’t make a right
    It doesn’t matter how he chooses to live his life, it’s neither your job nor mine or any other Barnsley fans to retaliate with religious slurs.

    I Fundamentally disagree, but we’ve had this debate. You cant uphold the rights of one party to express a view when its at the expense of the others.

    I’m not upholding his right.
    My point is whatever he’s done wrong it doesn’t justify any Barnsley fans behaving like R-soles.

    Nor do I hold with the ‘poor Barnsley’ stance that other clubs get away with it.

    it’s a simple rule don’t do it if you aren’t prepared to suffer the consequences.
