    Still a good striker, would love him here for 6 months, but way out of our price range.

    Celtic would be able to give him one last pay day and he’d thrive there, but it’s a move which wouldn’t suit his family I guess?

    Best wishes to him in the future though - after what he’s been through and his charity, he deserves a final decent contract.

    As if he’d come and play for us anyway - he doesnt like us especially after the incident at donny wasnt it? We can do better. And hes got no resale value so no chance.

    2 things in that article stand out for me
    1 £6.5 million - No way would we pay that for a striker of his age
    2. "The boyhood Blades fan is living his dream in the Premier League and boss Chris Wilder recently shot down speculation the striker could leave Bramall Lane in January."

    It's a no because Sheffield United are the scum of the earth.

    They're a bigger club than us and if they want our players, we're more-or-less obliged to listen to them. That's business. But what we shouldn't do is look to sign players from them.

    Agree FD. Wilder was featured on Calendar recently and said he had sounded out a possible loan with
    Sharp. The player said he was not in the least bit interested and Wilder confirmed that he wanted to
    hold on to him, so as far as they ( Wilder and Sharp ) were concerned, that was the end of the matter.
