we were talking about greatest drummers,guitarists etc, well imo its hard to say who was the greatest of anything, when i was a kid i always thought richie blackmore was the greatest ever guitarist ,(mainly because i was only interested in rock music back then),,but i've actually seen videos of street performers with just as much ,(if not more) ability...theres so much talent out there that we'll never see or hear about .

Polls in mags such as rolling stone are nowt more than populist lists probably influenced by record companies

There was sad news yesterday that Neil Peart had passed away, Neil was the drummer in Canadian prog rock trio Rush and hand on heart he was the greatest drummer i have clapped eyes on.

 

I think my favourite three modern bands would be Hatari, Idles and Sleaford Mods. Although I could probably only listen any of them for about 15 minutes max.
