Frustrating is Diaby. Stupid errors like today. ( Although I blame Struber fo the goal kick tactic . We simply can't play it. Every other club have abandoned it. Opposing teams must love us using it.) But he was our saviour against Crewe. Making several last ditch tackles to cover the mistakes of others.

I love Bambos enthusiasm and graft.its his first season in England and in a very competitive league so I m.cutting him and Andersen some slack.

If we never saw him again it would still be too soon. He's not good enough at this level.

We have conceded 50 goals this season

That's all you need to look at when considering if Bambo needs replacing, I think Mads will get better but Bambo for all his energy and enthusiasm is a League 1 defender

Have to agree with this. Think one of them may be OK alongside a ball playing CB, the two together are like Morcambe & Wise .... bring me sunshine.

BBS at its finest this thread, we win an important local derby in an entertaining game and we slate 2 players that gave their all. Sound.

Him & Anderson terrify me. I don’t mind the passing so much as it lures the opposition in & has been useful for creating space higher up the pitch but when either of them try & run with the ball into midfield they nearly always lose it & leave us completely out of shape & under pressure.

The way Diaby was getting pushed about by Campbell in the second half was also a bit worrying. You could maybe understand it against Mounie but he has a huge height advantage & should have a huge strength advantage given the size of him.

Are you suggesting because we won Diabys performance today shouldn't be looked at?

Get on the phone to Struber and the board we don't need any incomings lads we won today.

I can't help but adore Bambo, he seems to be a really nice geezer but he's lagging behind the rest of the squad along with Andersen. The rest of the lads seem to have learnt from their mistakes and bettered themselves but those two haven't, and they're playing in a position in which you cannot afford to make a mistake.

Their both young lads and have come from shocking leagues with very little experience so I'm convinced that over time they will become good players, but can we afford to keep starting them? I dunno. Some will argue you shouldn't change a winning team but others will see the impending 7 nil loss coming over the horizon.

I'd say get a 27 year old in on loan, a CB. Then that's us done with "older players", and play either Bambo or Mads with the loan player and let the experience of the loan player guide the other one thru the game. I think that's a much better option than playing both bambo and mads at the same time.

The problem is that it's the extreme basics that they **** up with. Literally missing the ball altogether, stalling etc... you'd hope these problems would be easy to solve but if they are so easy to solve then why haven't theu been solved?

We nearly let Huddersfield into it with Radlinger p1ssing about & Diaby was very lucky not to be sent off, as well as dropping a few clangers.

I'm really glad we battled away & employed some sh!thousery at the end to see the game out, but Huddersfield created nothing other than the chances we presented them. If that doesn't need looking at, then I don't know what does.

We played some nice stuff today, so lots to be positive about, other than aforementioned.

Its Struber dictating how these lads should play, 1st season in the championship, young players, inexperienced side , big changes already throughout the season , players giving everything.

Anyway its no bother i dont like these threads slagging off our players so i think that ill stop reading them.

Diaby and Anderson are committed young players giving their all so i like them both. Yes we should have a more experienced centre half in the squad who can help improve our defence that is blatantly obvious to anybody.

He could have been sent off. He could have cost us a goal but Jordan Williams saved him and he did cost us a goal by kicking thin air.

We win a game and people slag off defenders ,typical barnsley. Give the lads a break , its a tough league and both will get better. Keep off there backs

To be honest i reckon bambo is getting worse as the season goes on..... We need another centre back in to start resting these lads. Id personally move halme back there but it doesnt seem like thats going to happen.

Personally i would get dougall back in the team and put halme in defence, a few games in and dougall will read play, break up there attacks . Not sure why he cant get in team

It’s funny how McNulty gets called McNumpty & Wiseman regularly gets classed as one of our worst defenders yet in 2 seasons neither of them made anything close to the number of individual errors Diaby & Anderson have in 5 months.

Obviously these two have more potential & will probably have better careers but if they left tomorrow they’d have to go down as two of the worst regular starters we’ve ever had
