Thiam is not overweight - if anything he is looking trimmer. He was bulky before, but that’s his normal build. It’s not fat. If you met him personally out and about, you’d know that. I have. He’s a lovely lad who suffers with self-confidence I believe. I think we all know the step-up in League can be hard for players, and this lad is no different. He has the right attitude around the club and is a genuine and quieter lad (apart from his car!). The fact he’s made the bench a few times for Struber speaks volumes......Struber’s no fool. Back the lad - and if he gets on, he needs backing vocally on the pitch. Remember last season when he was confident and smacking balls around - POTM and GOTM awards.......

He's played 92 games for us, only scored eight goals and hasn't scored in his last 26 appearances for us. It's best for everyone if we can move him on this month and get a bit of cash for him from somewhere.
He’s deffo not fat. I reckon he’s got something in his padded jacket pockets. Hope he gets back on form soon!
I thought he looked a lot trimmer when I saw him warming up at half time. I've given up on him ever been a decent player for us though. He has been here 2 and a half seasons now and done very little of note. He was poor last season too in my opinion. He can hit the ball really hard, sometimes given time space and luck they fly into the back of the net. That's it, that's all he really has to offer. It was barely enough in league one and it's not enough in the championship. He was signed when were in the championship, so I would say he has turned out to be a poor signing. It happens, they don't all come good. That's the very nature of our recruitment policy.
I think Thiam actually looked a bit slimmer yesterday. He obviously has weight issues though, he probably only has to look at a chip and he puts a pound on. That's probably why he operates in short bursts but can't maintain stamina and do the constant press that our team needs.
