We should be beating ***** like Barnsley. From what I have seen they are very dynamic going forward but weak at the back so im going for a 2-1 Town win. Own goal and penalty. I think their forwards are too dynamic for our weak defence. Can only see a Barnsley win, hope I’m wrong. I’m worried about this one. Their new manager has given them a spine and resolve. Something we’ve not seen for years. I live in Barnsley (unfortunately) but will be in the away end (as a Town fan). Just looked On Barnsley site. Not much build up to the match but they have off topic etc in the same board. Generally decent posters not as many wums as on here. I’m really fearing for today. Barnsley have made a couple of decent signings (no better than ours though) and since i saw them at the JS i've always thought they have had a little too much about them to go down There's a flag on the seats in their old stand, it says "one made us, one saved us" and pictures of 2 people. Apparently they were made by Father Ted Teams walking out to the hitman and her theme.. Immense We're making them look fantastic and my god are we getting bullied. Second best all over the pitch. What the f**k is that - this is embarrassing. We should be throwing the kitchen sink at this. A point would be massive There are inferior squads in this league but some of those, like Barnsley, have more fight & heart. Why are the players giving the officials so much ****? Grabara handballed it and then just fell over. Never a penalty We are improving our skills each week. I can see progress when it comes to whinging at the ref! Barnsley are relegation material. We were worse Barnsley fully deserved all 3 points Barnsley came out looking timid and lacking belief. Only when they realised we weren’t biting did they get some confidence. I believe with the players we have (it’s not much , I agree) we could have destroyed them in the first 20 mins F*****g embarrassing that performance today against a very poor Barnsley team. There isn't a player at Barnsley on above 10k a week and despite their lack of experience and limitations they have never given less than 100% for the shirt despite some pretty awful results .
Some fairly decent comments there in the most. The disparity in the cost of the two squads is incredible & yet we shaded the game,
Father Ted comment is brilliant But for them folk who think we are terrible then they must really hate watching Huddersfield. It’s the worst away performance I’ve seen this year at oakwell.
http://downatthemac.proboards.com/thread/113567/barnsley-town-match-thread?page=9 I have read a lot of their match thread and it's pretty much all having a go at Cowley, the players and the owner so you've done well to find what must be a very tiny minority of posts somewhere from idiots belittling us.
These cows are small The ones out there are far away. Boo. Careful now. Down with this sort of thing. Fek ar5e drink Go on aah go on go on go on.
What a very strange response. Out of the 22 comments there are 5 which are somewhat belittling or negative. The rest are either slating their team or appreciating the fighting spirit, dynamism and heart of the Reds. Plus the very funny Father Ted comment And one praising this board as having less wums than theirs He must have missed you!
Just goes to show how far the mighty Terriers have fallen, if they are losing to " teams like Barnsley." The arrogance of some supporters is unbelievable. Huddersfield dropped lucky in appointing Wagner and luck was again on their side when seemingly against all the odds, they were promoted to the Premiership via the play offs. Their luck held for one season, but when it became obvious that Dean Hoyle would not bankroll their stay in the top flight after a further season, they were rightly relegated. Their fans need to recognise that like us, they are a hard working unfashionable Club that probably belongs in the EFL, because sadly unlike a few Clubs, they haven't got the fan base or financial resource to sustain a lengthy stay in the Premiership. Judging from what has been read and seen from yesterday, they are a poor Championship outfit, that will need their luck to hold, in order not to drop into League One next term.
After 200 to 300 millions of TV money their right back where they started all in the space of about 3 years .
