Love the word "SWOOP" in there. Just in case there's a long line of clubs wanting him Motherwell are prepared to SWOOP.
I remember when we swooped Michael Coulson. It said we beat likes of Hereford and Torquay to the striker lol
Im a bit surprised to hear Stendel wants Green. I was led to believe he really didn’t rate him. Green didnt get many games under Stendel did he? Maybe BS?
Once he sees the glorious and tranquil Motherwell surroundings he will find it very difficult to say no to this move.
Sooner the better. Get all that deadwood out of club and get some new faces in. If they are rotting away in reserves get shut. New centre back and a striker would be nice b4 window shuts....
He was one of the signings I thought would have had some massive potential and be a regular 1st team player by now, shows how much times can change. Onwards and upwards, get rid of the deadwood and keep us on the up.
I get your point mate but more often then not when the shoe is on the other foot and the player is doing well here they'd be aching to leave. I've grown to accept that as i've got older but also accepted that at the other end of the scale we should be moving on players that aren't working out for us anymore (Green, Cavare, Thiam, Mcgeehan and Pinillos to name a few)
He’s always looked decent to me, on the few times I’ve seen him play! A loan might be a good idea, to give him some proper game time.
Exactly. I thought we had picked a real gem up. Probably he has got disheartened because he hasn’t got in the first team - and because of that he isn’t pulling his weight in training.
I need to add allegedly here, but the weekend folklore was around someone translating what he shouted at Green in German. Was on one of the recaps videos or something.
My comment was based on the language rather than the sentiment. Of course if players are not delivering it's sensible to look to move them on. 'Deadwood' and 'rotting in the reserves', really?
I like this bit: "The pacey wide man is now set for a move up the border to Scotland with Motherwell and Hearts tussling for his signature". Every day I'm tussling.
Thanks for replying. I couldn't think of a likely scenario of it being shouted by an English speaking manager!
