I recall reading a forum of theirs when signing him and the general consensus was he would be top class for a couple of games and then disappear for a lot more and then reappear, but in the main was bad more than good. Just that the good was really good and grabbed the headlines.
Turned out to be a poor signing so far, and this deal doesn't look great for us as we're bearing all the risk of the court case.
Hope not. We will look silly if for example we've agreed a million pound fee but next summer he's worth way more from banging in the goals and assists for them.
I think he is a good player but doesn't appear to have his heart in it, look what happened to mowatt after he went on loan, he appears to have a cocky attitude so has this caused issues in the dressing room
I'm only guessing but if it isn't the case a fee is agreed they don't really have a option to buy do they? They would have a option to bid, which every club in the world also has.
I would’ve personally been tempted to loan him out to a league 1 club for the rest of the season so he could try and get some confidence back and then come back a better player but seems like he’s pretty much gone now. Some transfers work out, a lot don’t. We move on.
I would agree, otherwise what is an option to buy? It's just offering money for the club to turn down if they choose in the same way as any other club could
Dissapointed, although he's not shown any real form there were plenty of other players underperforming in those early months..... In a side high on confidence i can see him been a different player. I cant see the benefit of loaning him to a division rival either.
Doesn't this seem to be the exact situation with Conway, Lee and Oakwell stadium though? It was said that there was an option to buy after 6 months but when no purchase was made it was said that they couldn't agree a price or something along them lines.
