    Nixon gets more right than he does wrong, but I reckon he’s lost a key contact at Barnsley in the last 24 months or so. Most of his info about us now seems to come from the perspective of other teams.

    Woodrow will go in the summer - whilst his stock his high.

    We have already signed his replacement with Ritzmaier. Like most transfers, the board usually have a replacement already in the squad or in the pipeline.

    Would love him to stay, but a move suits club and player (gives us cash and he’ll get a massive increase in wages).

    Woodrow isn’t a striker. Not an out and out one, anyway. He never has been, despite what some on here might say. Last season he was almost coming back to defensive midfield at times. Very frustrating when he’s the lone striker, but that’s how he plays. And he’s very good at it. So a midfield spot is a great place for him to be. I was sceptical the first time it happened, but it works
