Wednesday got stuffed 5-0 at home today.

We've gone down 1-0 at Bristol City.

Your description of our play seems to be tapping it about a bit.

My description of our play is passing it about creatively and cleverly.

I agree it was a bad goal to give away and there were 3 or 4 ways to stop it.

But finally i think that there is a lot of fight in this team and we did not lose it due to a lack of effort. Sometimes the other team deserves a bit of credit.

It’s a comparison after watching that game .
If after you’ve seen the whole game and you still think we’ve done well , well there’s nothing more to be said tbh other than ill see you in div 1.
Before game I’d have bit your hand off for a point , after watching I’m bitterly disappointed .

By virtue of how we played?

By virtue of how crap Bristol ave been last few games and the pressure LJ was under .
Our performances last two or three games would have won that game . and for all how the game unfolded with both teams wasting chances to lose with that type of goal is terrible imo

Well you said it was a "comparison after watching that game" a couple of posts earlier.

Now it's a comparison of how bad Bristol City have recently been.

We will not be in Div 1 if we play like that.

I think we need a bloke to play through balls to nippy forwards. And a better nippy forward.

Big bloke upfront is dead for us.

    And i like it.

I hope your right but after watching how the goal come about I’m just hoping the last few results under Struber havnt climaxed and we revert to previous type .
I’m more concerned how goal was conceded than actually conceding if that makes sense ?
As it’s the sort of gold that’s killed us from beginning of season to Struber .

I'm the master of misery. I do depression without clinical analysis. Anyone reading this should listen to The Magnolia Electric company by Songs: Ohia, which is the best album of the last 20 years (yes, the main man is dead - by virtue of alcohol).

I've had copious amounts of ale already. Things will get worse during the evening. Although the dog must be walked.

But this team is worth watching. Their touch with the ball is sometimes sublime.

If we had the million pound nippy striker, we'd be near the top.

It’s frustrating that most times this nippy play is usually spoiled by a pass not going where it should or bad control etc .
Normally this is ok and appreciated but at this stage of the season and points needed it frustrates the fek out of me .
I cheer like mad when it does come off Mind but more very often than not it ends up with losing possession unnecessarily and we’ve been punished loads of times this season .
There’s a time and place for it but untill we can rely on defenders to defend when we do I’d rather us play to our strengths and not get caught out as much . This happened for Bristols goal .

Thought we played well today. Good away performance that could have gone either way. Our woeful start to the season might be our undoing but can’t fault the way they’re playing at the min. Keep it up and we’ve got a chance.

As a side note, thought Ritzmaier showed some classy touches today, a couple of good passes that would have been assists with better finishing and a lovely effort that hit the bar. Could have a player on our hands here.

We are in the top half of the form table based on the last 8/10 games and now look a much more attractive/capable side, so I suppose that's why people can't fathom our position. I'm hearing plenty of neutrals and opposition fans express surprise after watching us.

The defence looked like it did in the first couple of months, panicked and erratic when the slightest bit of pressure was applied..... And it is the exact same reasons as it was back then, personnel at LEFT BACK, RIGHT BACK and CENTRE BACK who arent good enough for this division..... Ontop of that an inability to convert chances, STRIKER..... well into January and the exact same issues are still present, wev improved the squad in central midfield that is it.... So much deadwood in the squad that we are trying to move on, weakest bench wev seen for many seasons..... Its a shambles really but in saying that we were in the game and could have quite easily took 3 points, same as alot of other games! This league is abysmal this season.

Like a lot of this hastily arranged squad, we have around 9 decent players at this level and the rest are way off the standard required.
Its also took quite a while for the majority to come to terms with the levels required , while the 3 plus are costing us most weeks. We have seen an up turn in playing style thanks to the new coach but you need players who are competent. The vast majority of fans know exactly what we needed in this division and still do, lets hope the board back this coach with what he needs to stay in this division.

Bristol had slightly the best of the chances and that showed in the goals scored. I wouldn't say we outplayed them. Brownhill should have scored very early on and their multi million pound striker missed a hat trick of chances. We had Mowatt put one wide and another straight at the keeper. Chaplin had a great attempt but as good as it looked it was again straight at the keeper. Thomas put one wide that he should have scored with. Ritzmaier instead of hitting the ball powerfully first time wanted a touch and then tried to tamely place it to the corner they had a defender covering and so that ended up hitting the bar for another off target attempt. At the other end Collins saved us from a goal when he deflected it on to the post. It's hard to think of a goal attempt we had that we can say was a good save by their keeper. He wasn't worked hard enough.
