The defence, mainly the CH’s. Granted diaby and oduor were out but we are absolutely diabolical at the back and paid the price for that!

Our centre half's weren't the problem today. Our fullbacks and our inability to finish were. I'm not sure why you're raising the point about centre halfs like it's relevant tonight.

It’s not relevant tonight fair enough but it has been plenty of times this season .
Today had seen the frailties of the full backs and the midfielders that back then up .
But it might be the centre half’s next time ! In other word it’s the Defense as a whole and not just those that play as an out and out defender .

Key point though is that another full back, at least one experienced centre half and another striker needed as a minimum and asap.

the other thing is how we seem to switch off in the last 5 minutes and stoppage time.... we simply do have no clue about game management and how to run the clock down. A point yesterday would have been wonderful. We should have had all 3 if our finishing was crisper.... yes they too did miss some guilt edged chances...but not as many as us.

It is still bugging me today how neither Thomas, nor Williams took the guy out. Just take the booking, and the goal doesn't happen.

Problem with this is our definition of experienced is different to the boards.

I don’t agree. The biggest and most long term problem isn’t on the pitch. It’s in the (absent) Directors Box.

That is both true and worrying. The saving grace is that I reckon our manager would define it in a very similar way to the fans. I just hope he can persuade our owners.

If Thomas was already on a yellow then we wouldn't have had him for Tuesday so not worth the risk surely? I wasn't at the match but could Struber have been cleverer with substitutions?

Daniel didn't manage to. And based on our transfers so far I'm not sure Gherard will either.

He wasn't booked though, that's the thing.

Someone did They were wrong and I corrected their post yesterday
Of course a better option would have been tacking him fairly. Surprised a player running with the ball could pull away from Thomas with such ease

I think that if the diaby rumours are true the club will sign a centre back because they have been left with no choice but will try to make it look like they're showing ambition and fans will swallow it.

    I'm a cynic

Problem is allowing the best defence in League One last season to leave en bloc before we had suitably experienced replacements. And that is Board policy.
