The thing is there is a huge talent there but he is his own worst enemy. Things went so well for him last season under McCann at Rovers and he was one of the best players in L1 last season. But for us it hasn't worked for him at all, largely down to his own stinking attitude by the looks of it.

I would not be shocked if he is really good for Hull from now until the end of the season at all. Equally would not be shocked to see more of the same crap we have seen for the last few months.

I think Wilks is fine in a team when he’s the main man in the team. I don’t think you can build teams in the championship compared to League One in that way.

He’s not a team player either the amount of times he ignored players in better positions but still tried to shoot etc. Must have been quite frustrating for the rest of the team too.

Hated his time with us, apparently. A few stories flying round about problems with DS. Chip very much on shoulder....

Wasn't convinced he really wanted to come in the first place. But surely if he had problems with DS he could have made a good impression with the new manager , clean slate and all that. However he obviously can work with McCann so probably the best move to go to Hull.

From what I saw of him he was a bit of a one trick pony, when playing for us at least. He just seemed to run at speed into defenders then fall over, claiming a pen or free kick. Didn't strike me as a team player either

I watched Gerhard on the ifollow today. Last 5 minutes or so he explains why Wilks has gone. He doesn’t want to work hard when we lose the ball. It’s the same reason Thiam, McGeehan and Cavaré can’t get near either. Lazy. This manager will not stand for it. I like the cut of his jib.
