Remind me again why religion has any sort of weight in 2020?

i'll stick with "the force", a little bit druid and a little bit buddhist and a 5h1t load of ninja just to spice it up................ seriously if something gives you a sense of hope and makes you a good person, then who am i to knock it, religion's not bad its how total ar5h0les define the rules

I don't care what anyone else believes in. Zeus, Allah, Jehovah, whoever. Each to their own. However, what a bizarre anachronism that Church of England Bishops have a place in the House of Lords, influencing the law of the land. How many other countries have religious representatives as part of the legislature? Iran is one. Can't think of any others. Anyway, here's a nice song (and preamble)

The fact you said 2000 years is odd.
Religion pre dates Christianity by quite a way.

And ‘the world’ has many religions shaping it; some old, some new.

If there is no absolute by which to judge society then society itself becomes the absolute - or something like that.

As well as Messiah watch Hail Satan on Netflix. Not what you would think from the title but an excellent and entertaining documentary challenging the fairly recent link between religion and state in the USA.

Weird time we live in....climate change and/or religion....I know that I prefer to believe in the former and not believe in the latter. I can't possibly understand how anyone can come up with the answers the other way round. Then again every day I wake up recently and remember who the PM is.....people/society do get things wrong occasionally
