Great signing for them. Their promotion chances just took a big boost if he’s anything like he was on his day for us.
One of my favourite players ever. However, I hope he has a miserable time with tha faymuss Marras, and that they fvck up promotion every season until the universe dies.
Or play right back or right of the diamond. Or left. He’s 26, plays a number of positions to a good standard and has a wealth of experience at this level. He’s a fan favourite, probably not that expensive comparatively and would be exactly what the Dr ordered. But let’s ignore him being available, watch as he signs for a league one team and sign someone else from Austria.
Decent addition at that level. They'll like him. So long as they accept what he offers. Because he's already getting mocked by some of their fans due to his lack of goals and assists. That's not his game. He's not a great passer, very limited range. He isn't a scorer. But he gets stuck in, he's nippy and good positionally. Incredible leap for a small kid. It's a clever signing that probably makes sure of their promotion. As an aside, I hope his dad has grown thicker skin because the marras will slaughter him unless he's Kevin Ball reborn.
We may well make a couple of signings. I can guarantee that nobody in hear will have a clue who they are though....
Absolute effin joke! Better than any of the ***** wev got here at the minute. Single worst bit of transfer news iv heard for a long time..... Well iv got to say struber and co uv missed out on a superb midfield player that would suit your system down to the ground. Ritzmaier is not fit to lace his boots.
Probably. I’d love for us to sign some players on loan from teams above us that know the league and/or country. Won’t happen like.
Championship experience, play anywhere in midfield or right back . Wouldn’t have cost much in fees , fans favourite . Makes you wonder if we are going to sign anybody else this month now
Bit unfair and premature to write off Ritzmaier after four games. A player who played Europa League football this season, earning a draw against Roma and beating the then leaders of the Bundesliga 4-0 on their own soil, he even scored in that match. You might turn out to be right. But it's a bit soon, isn't it? There was plenty of fans tearing into Scowen and others when we were bottom of the third division.
Yeah he may come good, wev had alot worse midfielders in the past definitely but on current ability at this moment in time scowen would walk straight in into our starting 11.
I haven’t seen much of him in the last two years or so to know what level he’s at these days but on his best days for us then sure, he gets in. He’s had to go to the third division though but a big club. I think he will impress them in the short term, too good for the third tier unless his ability has fallen away drastically.
Bastarding bastardness, can’t believe we’ve not signed him although I bet his wages are out of our reach which is why he left in the first place.
Loved Josh Scowen & would love him back here. Him & Hourihane are probably my favourite midfield pairing we’ve ever had. Superb in the centre, holding or on the right wing for us & even did a good job as a no. 10 & at right back. The late winner he scored against QPR at Oakwell lives long in the memory as does the strange game where he scored two headers from corners against Rochdale. It did surprise me that we signed him as at the time the spreadsheet only seemed to identify goal scoring midfielders. My guess is we went to watch Mawson at Wycombe & probably spotted Scowen playing well in front of him
This is the answer to whenever some smart arse on here says "well come on then, name some names, who would you sign". Our transfer policy is utterly despicable.
