I know you’ve noted this but I didn’t read it in any way as an insult. I also immediately had an image of Daffy Duck when I read the word despicable! “You’re dithbickable”
I’m nearly 37, am technically disabled as my knee is absolutely knackered as the result of a bad car crash so can barely walk some days, though it’s a physical impossibility for me to run - and I’m also pushing 20 stone probably as I’ve piled weight on as I can’t exercise much if at all. And on a few of his performances this season (not all), I reckon I’d have been about as effective as JW. Josh Scowen would walk into that team in any of three or four positions. I’ve been disappointed with the signings made - they may prove to be excellent but they were never going to hit the ground running. However I’m more disappointed with the signing we haven’t made here - surely we could have tempted him back if he’s gone up there to league one, they’re hardly rolling in cash either so we could have at least made a comparable offer.
It looks like Struber has been given license to identify and sign his own players, within the constraints of our budget. Which is a bit of a thankless task. Unfortunately, he won't have a clue who Scowen is, and seems more concerned about how many games players have played in this system, regardless of level.
Ridiculous this they even signed bailey wright as well. 2 players I mentioned not long ago what would be a possible signing for us and a team league below us have got them.
