I just want to touch base with you so you can make your supporters aware of scheduled engineering works on the Underground on the weekend of 14th February.

District Line Trains will not be operating to Putney Bridge. Supporters intending to use the Underground are advised to plan their journey on the tube using the Transport for London website www.tfl.gov.uk

That's a blow. My son and grandson are going and the train back to Wakefield leaves Kings Cross
at 7 pm. Looks like they will have to get a taxi from Craven Cottage to the station.

My lad has just been telling me about the train fares on the day. Wakefield Kings Cross return for himself
and my twelve year old grandson was £340. He decided to pay for three tickets each re- Wakefield
to Doncaster, Doncaster to Peterborough, then Peterborough to Kings Cross. Total cost £74 return and
they don't have to get off the train. What a joke.

Paid 30£ return Donny/kings cross when we played millwall. Obviously booked this in advance hence the price. Last minute decision making is a no-no with the hike in price.

Yes, 15-20 minute walk, (or 220 bus) to Hammersmith. Then Piccadilly Line through to Kings Cross.

There is a Rail Replacement bus service that weekend from Putney Bridge to Hammersmith, but it's probably quicker to walk from Craven Cottage because of heavy traffic.

You can walk to Hammersmith tube station in 20 mins. Straight on Hammersmith & City line into Kings X. Should do it easy.

Many thanks JP. I will pass that on. I never fail to be impressed with the dedication of our supporters.
They spend a tidy sum on travel, match tickets and food to follow the team on their away days.

In return, all they expect is to see is their side give a good account of itself on the field. I genuinely
felt for every man Jack and girl Jill that undertook the trek down to Portsmouth Saturday last. They
deserved better than the lack lustre display that they had to endure during that game.

Let's hope that starting from this Saturday they can improve our fortunes and get back to the kind of form
they showed when Struber first came in.

Isn't Parson's Green nearer - change at Edgeware Road for Hammersmith and Fulham?

Hammersmith does give you two options - H&C from one station and Piccadilly from the other station to Kings X... The stations are across the road from each other, so not too far apart, although IIRC Piccadilly is slightly faster.

The District Line from Earl's Court to Wimbledon (via Parson's Green and Putney Bridge) is shut all weekend for engineering. Quickest solution is Piccadilly Line from Hammersmith to Kings Cross.
