Shortest month of the year, yet we play more league games in February than any other month. Winter break? Who needs it. A couple of weeks ago I might have looked at the list below with a bit of optimism. Now it looks more like a series of unfortunate events. 21 points up for grabs. I think we'll be lucky to get more than a handful. Really hope I'm wrong. Predictions anyone? Sat 1st Charlton away Sat 8th Weds HOME Tues 11th Brum HOME Sat 15th Fulham away Sat 22nd Boro HOME Wed 26th Hull away Sat 29th Reading away
One at a time. Saturday is must win for us. If we can be just three points behind by 5pm that evening then things swing back towards us. Have to admit it looks really tough today, but we can’t give in with 17 to play.
I'm not arsed about predicting too far in front but the reality is with us being 6 points away from safety and we are playing the team to catch on saturday, we really need to win otherwise i think it may be curtains for us. If we win we're back to being within 3 points of safety with a big derby the week after whereas Charlton have Stoke away. Theoretically we win our next two matches and the Charlton-Stoke match ends in a draw we are now 1 point from safety and 2 points off the team above. All to play for. A few days after that? We've got a winnable game at home to Birmingham who aren't miles away from the relegation zone as it stands whereas Charlton have Forest away and Luton have Sheff Weds at home. This season could swing dramatically one way or the other and for me we'll find out which was that is by the time we play Fulham away on the 15th. Yes we are relying on luck going in our favour now as well as our own results but it's not ever yet.
Can see 1 win max from there. I'd have said Charlton and Reading away were winnable but we're just a complete mess away from Oakwell, no matter how well we play we end up losing - Millwall aside.
On a positive note £15 ticket price for the Birmingham game. That’s what it should be week in week out
